"I contacted Conrad a few months ago and we scheduled the work for sometime this winter. Work was completed over the course of three days. As no rear access from the street to the property, all ground cover had to be hauled up hill and out to the street and all fabric rolls, plants and mulch had to be carried down in garbage cans and spread on the property. Estimate 160-200 garbage cans of mulch carried down hill to work site. Conrad and his crew were professional, cleaned up the area after they finished working and Conrad walked me through the work performed and answered all my questions to my satisfaction."

"If you are looking for a professial concrete contractor, I highly recommend Bill Haddad and his crew. Bill was proactive in addressing issues and was informative in regards to our concrete project including drainage. Bill provided great communication, kept us informed at every point, and seamlessly coordinated the various aspects from the Dig Alert, the demo and hauling, to the actual concrete truck. The crew was quick, efficient and the final product was exactly as promised. We are extremely satisified with the entire process and would highly recommend Bill Haddad for any concrete work you may need."

"Our driveway was resurfaced with asphalt paving after years of patchwork repairs. Ken and his crew milled the old surface, compacted the base, and laid a fresh layer with clean edging. They even adjusted the slope to direct water away from the garage. The difference is clear in appearance and durability. It's a new property entrance."

"They did my front and back yards. They've been good about correcting things, like water not getting to the plants. After many months, I finally I noticed that some of the plants were not getting water. They remained small and I took this picture. I called them and left a message for someone, got an email back from Jonathan that day saying it would be dealt with. I've been waiting 5 days so I wrote an email back checking in. They sent someone to fix. The drip system had been installed too low and the plant above wasn't getting water. All taken care of."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

It depends on the type of surface, but if you’re preparing to pressure wash a driveway, you’ll start by using a broom or leaf blower to get rid of dirt, leaves, and other debris. Then, move any nearby items (like outdoor furniture and potted plants) and cover in-ground plants with a tarp or plastic sheet. After that, you can apply degreaser spray or another pretreatment solution to any stains and scrub them with a stiff brush before pressure washing.

Whether you need to winterize your pressure washer depends on where it will be stored. If it's kept in a location where temperatures could drop to freezing, any liquid left in the water pump can freeze, expand, and cause severe damage to the machine. To prevent this, you can add antifreeze to the pump. While emptying the machine with compressed air is an alternative, it can be a tedious process and may not remove all the liquid. If you can store the pressure washer in a relatively warm place with no risk of freezing, you won't need to add antifreeze. However, regardless of storage conditions, it is good practice to empty the gas chamber and refresh the oil before storing it for the winter.

Deciding whether to buy or rent a pressure washer depends on your budget and how often you plan to use it.

  • Renting: The daily rental cost typically ranges from $40 to $175. Renting can be more cost-effective for a one-time project.

  • Buying: The purchase price for a pressure washer can range from $100 to over $1,000. More specifically, electric models generally cost between $100 and $400, while gas models run from $300 to $600.

If you anticipate using a pressure washer multiple times a year, buying one is often a better long-term investment. When purchasing, remember that a higher-quality machine will likely deliver better and more reliable results.

However, if the machine will be stored in freezing temperatures, any liquid left in the water pump can freeze, expand, and cause severe damage. To prevent this, add antifreeze to keep it in good condition. While some suggest emptying the machine with compressed air, this can be a tedious process that may not fully drain the liquid. Regardless of storage conditions, it is also good practice to empty the gas chamber and refresh the oil before winter storage.

Yes, you can remove oil stains from your driveway by applying an absorbent material such as baking soda, sawdust, or cat litter, pouring on a liquid detergent such as dish soap, scrubbing the area, and rinsing with water. You can also use a diluted bleach solution, white vinegar, or TSP solution on concrete.
