Small jobs welcome

"I had a great experience with Eagle Automatic Gate & Door !They installed a brand new driveway gate with a liftmaster motor, and everything turned out exactly how I envisioned. Itay was professional, punctual, and really paid attention to the details. The motor works smoothly, and the gate looks amazing?solid build and clean finish. I also appreciated how they walked me through the system and made sure everything was working before they left."

Customers say: Quality work

"Isaiah came to give an estimate to fix our Iron gates, I liked it, and he fixed it right away. It was good work. Later that same day, I found out that our gate latch is not staying in tact easily which he fixed. I left him a message to come back to adjust the latch but I haven't heard from him. For time being it is okay, but the latch needs to be re-adjusted a bit, so I hope he comes back to fix it."

"TerraVenti installed new solar panels on my house. I’m surprised on how quick the turn around time was for installation. I’m saving over $100 on electricity a month from the solar panel. This money will be saved for my son’s college education fund. It was a win-win decision."

Driveway Gates questions, answered by experts

Assuming the site is prepped and you have all the tools and materials ready, you should budget the better part of a day to build a driveway gate. This can depend on your DIY experience and which materials you’ve chosen, such as building from scratch or using a prefabricated option. The gate size and finishing touches, like painting or staining, can also add to the overall time budget.

Whether you can attach a wood extension to a vinyl gate depends on the gate's construction. Some vinyl gates are sturdy enough to allow wood or vinyl boards to be attached. Many, however, have hollow frames that may not hold screws or heavy extensions securely. For these, consider alternative extension options such as a rubber flap or chicken wire.

To make your gate safe, purchase a gate made from strong material such as wrought iron, stainless steel, or other metals. Ensure that the gate has strong joints and bars that are welded on rather than inserted loosely. If you’re concerned about people climbing over your gate, you can deter them by installing fence spikes along the top as an extra precaution.

Locksmiths offer keyless entry systems, high-security locks, panic bars, electronic access control, and biometric security solutions.

The best direction for a gate to swing depends on its location and purpose, but swinging inward is the general rule. An inward swing is often considered safer, prevents the gate from opening into public spaces like a sidewalk, and may be required by local building codes.

There are exceptions and specific considerations. If your property is on a slope, an inward swing might not be possible. For a deck gate, it's safest to have it swing away from any steps. In a backyard, the direction can be a matter of preference, though an inward swing can be helpful when carrying heavy items like a wheelbarrow into a garden.

Regardless of direction, ensure the gate can open fully without hitting any objects or blocking spaces. While an inward swing is standard, a gate that can swing both in and out offers the most flexibility if your setup allows for it.
