Tilton's Almighty Piano Moving in Murrieta Ca, is a family-run and operated moving company based on faith, honesty, and friendly customer service. With over 33 years of experience in piano moving, we are the moving company to call for quality results each and every time. We want to provide better piano moving service than the average furniture movers. Many movers can move pianos, but it takes skilled professionals to move them safely and securely. Piano moving takes planning and close attention to detail. Many pianos have been handed down through the years and some hold extensive monetary value, not to mention sentimental attachments. We are a Christ-centered family and we always treat our customers like family. We are the premier piano moving company, because we truly care about the people we provide service to. We are forging long-term relationships. We’re not creating customers for a project, but friends for life. Thank you for your interest and we look forward to working with you.

"The two movers that came were punctual and made the move look effortless. They took great care to protect my piano during the move and no damage was incurred. Very satisfied with the service."

"After several inquiring emails and phone calls to owner, John Delgado, my husband and I scheduled 3 men and supplies for our move on Easter Sunday, April 1st. Arron showed up first, the driver, Enrique, was late and the 3rd guy, Marcos, was a no show. The truck did not have the promised supplies (wardrobes boxes, shrink wrap, etc...) we had discussed and agreed upon and I was told that what was on the truck was what was left from the move the day before and I needed to "just deal with it." I phoned Mr. Delgado and he began to lie about what he promised, even though I have emails from him documenting the exact number and dimensions of all agreed upon supplies. I told him this was unacceptable, as we had taken the necessary steps to ensure a stress free move. He said, "I'll call my guys and take care of it." and hung up with me. I went outside to see what the status of the crew was and Enrique informed me that he was instructed to BAIL, he instructed Arron to take what had been loaded off the truck, as Mr. Delgado said they were no longer moving us. They began to unload leaving our belongings in the street. I immediately phoned Mr. Delgado to inquire what just happened and he answered screaming into the phone, "We are leaving because I was instructed to do so by my boss, I got to go I have another call" and hung up on me. I asked Enrique if had the number to Mr. Delgado's boss, so I could phone him to find out why they were instructed to bail on this moving job and Enrique looked at me oddly and said, "M'am Mr. Delgado is the boss, there is no other boss." The whole experience was nothing but lies from the beginning to the end. Here we were on Easter Sunday packed and ready to move to our new home and we were left stranded!"

Moving services FAQs

Before hiring a moving company to help you with your move, there are a few things you will want to ask, including:

  • Is there anything your company won’t move?

  • Does workers’ compensation cover the crew?

  • Will you disassemble and reassemble the furniture?

  • Are there packing restrictions?

  • Can you guarantee my delivery date?

  • Can you provide references?

  • What do you charge extra for?

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Moving insurance helps protect your belongings from damage or loss during the moving process. This policy can help reimburse you either part of or the total amount of your belongings that become damaged during the moving process. Moving insurance has three main options: full value protection, released value protection, and third-party or separate liability coverage. Speak with your moving company to determine what is covered under each policy and their cost to determine the best fit for your needs.

The average cost to hire movers is between $920 and $2,530 for local moves and $2,700 to $10,000 for long-distance moves. The number of movers you need, the total mileage you’re moving, your moving date, and ease of access to your home all factor into the bottom line.

For example, if you only need one or two movers, you can expect to pay $25 to $50 an hour. However, if you need four or more movers, that charge increases to $100 to $200 an hour. Moving specialty items, like a piano or large aquarium, will incur additional charges.

In the world of professional moving, moves are broken up into two categories—a local move and a long-distance move. A local move is anything considered under 100 miles, regardless if you’re crossing over state lines. A long-distance move is anything over 100 miles, even if you stay in the same state or location.

If you’re hiring movers to help with your move, there are a few things that you can do ahead of time to set yourself (and the moving company) up for success.

  • Donate or sell items ahead of time to lessen the amount to move

  • Alert your neighbors (or apartment management) of the move so they can plan for the moving truck to arrive

  • Pack your belongings securely ahead of your moving date

  • Disconnect any appliances prior to the moving date

  • Clear a path for the movers to move freely inside your home

  • Dispose of hazardous materials

  • Discuss with your moving coordinator where to unload the boxes
