"Quality was great. Service even better. Israel and team had finished trimming our tree and unfortunately we were not available to inspect. I contacted them later about some areas on the tree we wanted revisited. Unfortunately, they were on their way to jobs in Casa Grande. Israel drove back to west Goodyear from Casa Grande after finishing their jobs as the sun was setting to attend to our requests. And, he took extra time to educate us on maintenance after a long day. That is CUSTOMER SERVICE."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

It takes anywhere from three to seven years for a stump to decompose on its own. This timeframe can depend on the kind of tree and your climate. The lower to the ground the stump is, the faster it rots. If you kill a tree stump with salt, boiling water, herbicide, light deprivation, or burning, the tree stump decomposes faster.

The best way to protect tree roots is to avoid the roots entirely by excavating outside the root radius of the tree. For nearby projects, it’s a good idea to construct a temporary retaining wall. But that’s not always possible, depending on the project and the root system. In these cases, consider using alternative equipment like an auger to tunnel under the ground.

Remember, tree roots can damage nearby cement foundations as they grow. If a tree is close enough to interfere with large excavations, it may be better to remove the tree than risk future problems.

Maple trees start the growing season by developing small groups of red flowers where the tree's fruit, the samaras, will appear in the coming weeks. Later in spring, the samaras, which many call whirlybirds or similar names, develop into single-winged seed carriers that spin when falling or drifting in the wind.

Using Epsom salt to kill a tree stump typically takes between six and 12 months. While this may seem like a long time, it is significantly faster than the natural decomposition process, which can take up to seven years. This method is a viable DIY option for stumps that do not pose an immediate hazard. If you need a faster solution, you can hire a professional for stump removal or grinding, though this may cause more damage to the surrounding ground.

The average lifespan of an oak tree is 100 to 300 years, so long as it isn’t impacted by diseases like sudden oak death. Some species will last shorter or longer, depending on where you live.
