"Rodney was incredibly professional, efficient and friendly. He came in a timely manner with boards precut and all equipment needed. He also adjusted the low-hanging metal frame, cleaned up shavings, and hosed down walkway. We were extremely pleased with his services all around and highly recommend him for fencing and other skilled work."

"It worked out great. I love my new gate it looks beautiful. The gentleman was very polite and cleaned up after himself. I would use them again and refer them to someone that is looking for a gate"

"Victor exceeded my expectations. He clearly communicated with me regarding the job before he started. And though out the job implementation he was so easy to work with. The tree fort was completed on time and Victor made improvements to the original design. Honestly, he was so easy to work with I was sorry to have him finish!"

"Excellent.. I need to block a very large building my neighbor is building at the fence between us. Jose was very helpful in selecting fast growing trees -Sissoo - and deciding on the number I needed (7) and the placement of them. He arrived with his crew of 3 on a day when it was raining on and off. They worked throughout the weather and got all 7 trees planted. The trees are even taller than I was hoping for. When they left their truck left some ruts in the wet grass but he came back the next Saturday and filled them in. I am very happy with the work Jose did and plan on using him again."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

For a chain link fence, the ideal distance between fence posts is 6 to 10 feet apart. Measure carefully to ensure even spacing, and resist the temptation to extend the distance more than 10 feet. Doing so could impact the stability of your fence.

Yes, you can use a floor jack to remove fence posts. Attach a stem to the base of the fence post so you can position the floor jack underneath. The stem can be a scrap piece of wood attached with nails or a sturdy nail itself. Put the jack beneath the stem and push the lever to lift up on the fence post and remove it from the ground.

A setback is an area of space between your fence and the property line, meaning you build a fence a few inches before your neighbor’s property begins. You can build your fence on a setback—some communities recommend this—but this means a sliver of your property will be on your neighbor’s side of your fence.

Yes, fence posts should be set in concrete to provide the proper support for the fence. If you notice your fence posts leaning, you’ll need to learn how to brace a fence post to fix the problem and prevent further damage from occurring. By bracing a fence post properly, you’ll provide stability and sturdiness to your fence for years to come.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly fence material, corrugated metal could be the answer. Metal fences cost about $7 to $32 per foot. Aluminum corrugated metal tends to be less expensive than steel. Both options are similar in cost to wood, so, depending on the type of wood you are considering, corrugated metal could be better for your budget.
