Technically, you can start tiling in a corner and work your way out. However, it's not traditionally how tiling is done. Instead, work from the bottom middle of the wall. If you notice this, further dilute the mixture with water or use a different detergent that does not leave a film. You should never use harsh cleaning chemicals, any type of acidic compound (such as vinegar or citrus-based cleansers), or harsh scrubbers like steel wool or hard bristle brushes.

There are a few cleaning products that you should never use on carpets because you may accidentally ruin them. Do not use bleach, dish soap, laundry detergent, and abrasive cleaners on carpet. For more guidance on products to avoid, consult a local carpet cleaning company for expert advice.

For rooms with an even number of feet (10 x 12, for example), you can technically just multiply them together to get the number of square feet in the room (10 feet x 12 feet = 120 sq. ft.).
