"Absolutely fantastic service. Within literally 30 seconds of putting in a request I was contacted by Jen. Extremely friendly and professional, she was the answer to our prayers (our other means of removal fell through and we had so much that needed taken that day). Within an hour she was at our house (I cannot tell you how surprised and relieved we were that we were able to get such instant service) and under an hour later everything was loaded up and we were free. Jennifer and her father (Iâ m so sorry I didnâ t get his name!) were fast, efficient, and so down to Earth. Their fee was more than fair and I am so happy with everything. Thank you for the outstanding service, I will definitely be using you again. HIGHLY recommended!!!"

Small jobs welcome

"I hired Mountain Man Solutions to clean up a heavily treed, half acre lot. I thought that living out of town would make this project a nightmare. Mountain Man Solutions proved me wrong. Tarren was fantastic to work with! He did a site visit and got me a quote very quickly. He took lots of pictures to help communicate exactly what needed to be done. In my case, he needed to remove two large dead trees (a 70 foot pine, and 50 foot juniper) in addition to removing 17 years worth of accumulated dead branches, pine needles/cones, leaves, and debris. The project took three days. The price was very reasonable. I'm rarely moved to write a review, but he earned a 10 out of 10 recommendation. Thank you Tarren!"

"Shepherd Contracting remodeled both of my bathrooms and installed new flooring throughout my entire house. Thomas was awesome! He was respectful, easy to work with, and offered way better pricing than other contractors I got estimates from, without compromising on quality. The work turned out 10/10, and I?ll definitely be using them again!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

It is safe to remove old linoleum, but it may require the help of a specialist due to the risk of asbestos in the material. Before you cut into linoleum or try to peel it up, have it tested for asbestos. If it tests positive, professionals will need to remove it to prevent the risk of health issues from airborne toxic particles. If it’s asbestos-free, DIY removal is possible and safe.

While the EPA provides guidelines for homeowners to perform DIY lead paint removal, it is a risky process and generally not recommended due to serious health risks and strict regulatory requirements. The process requires precise safety precautions, such as wearing a respirator and protective eyeglasses, creating sealed exits, and using a HEPA vacuum for cleanup. To ensure the job is done safely, effectively, and in compliance with regulations, it is highly recommended to hire a professional lead abatement company. Certified professionals have the necessary training, experience, and specialized equipment (like chemical strippers and HEPA vacuums) to handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.

You should ask a few questions to ensure that your potential lead removal professional is experienced and qualified to handle lead-paint abatement safely, legally, and properly.

  • What are your qualifications and experience removing lead-based paint?

  • Are you licensed and certified to remove lead-based paint?

  • How do you test for lead paint?

  • What methods do you use for lead-based paint abatement?

  • What do you plan to do with the hazardous material when you remove it from the home?

  • Do you do replacement and painting work or removal only?

The best disposal method for hazardous waste is to take it to a professional dumping facility that specializes in and accepts hazardous materials. These facilities will dispose of the materials in a way that is safe for both humans and the environment. If you don’t have access to a nearby facility, the best way to get rid of hazardous waste is to call a professional garbage removal company who handles disposing of hazardous materials .

Unfortunately, lead dust does not look different from any other type of dust. You cannot detect it with the naked eye. To determine if you have lead dust in your home, you will need to hire a local company to take a sample from the paint and test it for you in a lab.
