"They put up wood panels onto a wall, had to work around and extend a dual light switch. They had to get a bit creative so the panels ended at same spot on both sides of the wall. Project turned out great. Genuinely nice people to work with."

"Charles is Awesome ! Came out for a quote for the work to be done and came out again a few weeks later to start the job. My walkway path to the front porch had sunk about 1.5 inches and was a tripping hazard. He drilled a couple holes and lifted the slab, then injected the expanding foam. Perfect height and level with the porch now. Call Charles for all your concrete needs. He is the best !!"

"Ted showed up on the time and date we scheduled. He assessed my home’s foundation and determined that the level of repair needed did not require his company’s intervention. I was extremely impressed with Ted’s honesty and forthrightness. In a world where homeowners are often faced with costly repairs it was refreshing to deal with Ted and by extension Dalinghaus Construction. If in the future I have need of such services I would not hesitate to call upon Ted and Dalinghaus Construction."

"They were great from the initial call. Mark initially came out to assess the home. He explained was very thorough in making his assessment on what his recommendations were to repair the settled section of our home. We had a few other companies come out and they didn't supply the knowledge or details that Mark provided to us. Once we scheduled the work to start, we received daily updates from the crew on the status of our project and what things they were finding, They even supplied pictures to us to correspond with the updates. The crew was able to lift the damaged section of our home up to remove the slope that we have had in our floor for over 15 years! We are truly appreciative of Dalinghaus Construction's entire team and how they took care of our home as if it was their own."

"Gauge is a Representative who puts his Clients first. He reminds me, of a younger me. (This says a lot, because I was always a top notch Sales Rep and I retired early, as a result of my personal efforts and how I always did, as I said, and placed my Clients as top priority). I have yet to begin my project, but he won over my business and I?m excited to see the results. I?m confident they will exceed my expectations."

Customers say: Quick response

"Gaje did a great job repairing some bad spalling on a section of the stem wall for a house I owned. There were some area's that had cracking and required some rebar repairs. When completed, the structural integrity was fixed and the repaired area was better than new, right down to painting the stemwall to match the exterior house paint. Job well done..."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Generally speaking, push piers—or steel piers—are the best option for underpinning, as they reach down to solid bedrock to find support for your foundation rather than relying on soil, which could be subject to the same issues as the soil directly below your foundation. However, the best underpinning method for your home depends on your location, how far down the bedrock is, and the type of soil in your area. Helical piers are usually the best option for sandy soil or in areas where the bedrock is too deep to use steel piers.

A slurry of cement, sand, and water is injected beneath the concrete to lift and stabilize it.

The method involves lifting settled concrete using pressurized cement slurry via drilled holes. This solves uneven surfaces and prevents further settling.

The timeframe is generally a few hours, allowing for immediate use post-hydration, ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding activities.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.
