"My attic had a large hole that even a racoon could fit through. Rats also chewed wires and left lots of droppings. Nathan and his crew removed all the droppings and soiled insulation using very powerful professional vacuum systems. Then they sprayed disinfectant to remove any odors. They also erected a plastic sheet tunnel between the attic access and the front door. Nathan sealed the hole with a metal plate to keep all the critters out. I highly recommend Arizona Rodent Solutions!"

Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

It depends. Use the “50% rule” to help you decide. For example, you should consider replacing the appliance if it is halfway through its lifespan and the repair will cost more than 50% of the price of a new one. Contrary to popular belief, repairing a major appliance is more wallet-friendly than purchasing a new one. While the cost of new home appliances can run as high as $8,000, the average cost to repair them is $170. If the appliance you’re trying to get rid of isn’t too old, consult a local appliance repair expert to see what can be done to restore it.

If your old washer and dryer are still in working condition and you have space for an additional hook-up, you may be able to use them for things you don’t want in your household laundry, like heavily soiled work clothes. If the appliances no longer work, some parts may be salvageable for scrap—contact a scrap collector to see if they’ll take them.

If you want to save money on the cost of kitchen appliances, opt for basic color options like black or white. Stainless steel is usually a mid-range option; prices have come down somewhat now that it’s so widely available. Expect to spend the most for custom or bold colors, like a pink fridge or a gold-toned stove.

Use rugs in high-traffic areas, immediately clean up spills, and do regular dust mopping.

In general, yes, it's worth repairing an appliance over replacing it. If the repair will give you more years of reliable service from the oven and the repair costs less than buying a comparable new model, then yes, get it repaired. If, on the other hand, the oven is reaching the end of its life and needs a costly repair, you're likely better off buying a new oven.
