Total amount for work was $4120.20 less Unisource rebates of $1450.00 leaving a balance due from me of $2670.20. I had heard very good things about Ambient Edge and they had a very good Angie?s list rating. I did not pay close attention to the installation of the contracted services and assumed everything was done in a professional manner. Sunday April 13, 2014 I noticed there was dirt around the ducts and remember Shawn from Ambient Edge explaining that as the air blows through the grille it actually creates a siphoning effect drawing air from the attic space around the grille through the cracks between the sheetrock and the duct. I was shocked when I took the AC grilles off and saw what a sloppy job was done. Over the next few days I sealed all the ducts except for the master bedroom & bath. I looked in the attic and the sealing of the flex duct to the air handler was very sloppy and unprofessional so I sealed those as best I could. The new flex duct supplying the master bedroom was partially crushed when turned around a corner. Monday 4/14/2014 I called Ambient Edge and had all the confidence in the world that this would be resolved quickly. I spoke to Heather who was very sympathetic and I asked to speak to the President/General Manager Steve Lewis. She said I should talk to Mark first who is in charge of service and said she would have him call me today. No call!! Thursday 4/17/2014 I called to talk to President/General Manager Steve Lewis and was put through to his voice mail. No response!! Thursday 4/24/2014 I called again in total frustration and spoke to Shannon. She said Shawn had originally done the energy audit and would like to send him out on Monday 4/28/2014. Monday 4/28/2014 Shawn came out and looked at my pictures of the ducts before I sealed them, looked at the attic and the return air in the hallway. He agreed that it was a poor quality job. Said he would talk to Mark and get back in touch. Friday 5/2/2014 Shannon called and said Shawn & Mark would be out on Tuesday 5/6/2014 @ 10:00 AM?at 9:40 AM Shannon called and left a message that the appointment today has to be cancelled and for me to call and reschedule. At this point I feel I?m getting the run around and don?t care if I ever see or talk to Ambient Edge again. I did not call back to reschedule. Shannon called at 5:03 PM and left a message that Billy and Shawn would be here at 10:00 AM Thursday 5/8/2014. Who is Billy, what happened to Mark? Thursday 5/8/2014 I called Shannon and asked why Billy was coming out and she said that President/General Manager Steve Lewis wanted Billy Barger to come out and look at the situation. She said that President Steve really trusted Billy. At 10:00 AM Shawn, Billyand Mark showed up and looked over the job. They said it wasn't perfect but was acceptable. The more they looked they finally agreed it was a lousy job. The two returns which are the largest areas of the entire duct system were never touched during the duct seal. I paid $650.00 for this duct seal and was asking for most of my money back which I determined to be $400.00. I said the guy who did the duct seal did the whole thing in about one hour and Mark looked around and said he could also probably do our house in about an hour. Now I really feel ripped off at $650.00 per hour. They wanted to give me credits for future work but in my opinion that was holding me hostage to their company. We agreed I would complete the duct seal for the master bedroom & return air and would call Shawn back for a retest and if it showed any improvement we would continue our conversation as to what to do. My wife and I decided we did not want any more dealings with this company. (New Angie?s List Review will be made for the following company) Through Angie?s list we found Air Control Air Conditioning in Lake Havasu, AZ. The owner Jim Jensen and his son Jamie came to the house and it was very informative. Jamie did a manual J load calculation and determined we needed a 3 ton rather than a 4 ton unit. They also explained the benefits of the Aeroseal duct sealing which seals from the inside of the ducts. We purchased the best system available which was the Trane XV20i Premium System. Runs at variable speeds and is very quiet and ALL rooms feel the same temperature. HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Air Control Air Conditioning. Total cost $15,791.00"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/nv/henderson/ambient-edge-with-plumbing-by-jake-reviews-4795195.htm"},"position":2},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Pitzer's One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"AZ","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Steve R."},"reviewBody":"I had Pitzer's One Hour replace a capacitor on my air conditioner and a few weeks later return to fix a freon leak and replace 13 pounds of R22 freon. Here is the good and the bad.
The Bad-
Speed- I thought the company's name implied a promise that they would arrive within an hour. It does not, and the name seemed deceptive to me. They will offer an appointment for a relatively broad window of time and, though they did arrive within the promised window of time, I don't know if they are any faster than their competion.
Cost- The repairs cost me about $2100. After the second service visit, friends told me that Pitzer was one of the most expensive air conditioning companies in the area and recommended Got Air in Bullhead. Too late, I called Got Air and did some comparison shopping. They quoted a price of $50 per pound for the Freon which One Hour normally charges $129. Pitzer does offer reduced pricing if you pay for a membership and I actually paid $103 per pound, but this is still double Got Air's price. I suspect most of their parts are services carry a similar mark up but you'll have to do some comparison shopping.
To help, here is the standard pricing from their One Hour's ?Straightforward Pricing? sheet-
Repair, replace, install: In warranty condenser coil, relocate condensing unit, reversing valve, electronic ignition and gas valve, install drain pan in attic. $1179
Repair, replace, install: Condenser fan motor, refrigerant leak search and repair, cap tub assembly with strainer, valve, ignition module/re-light assembly, gas valve, flame sensor, electrical short, Zinsco breaker, defrost timer, 2-sp. Blower motor, special t-stat. $629
Repair, replace, install: Sight glass, process tube, program. 2-stage t-stat, pressure switch, defrost timer, super boost, pilot assembly, electrical short, condensate pump, circuit breaker, bearing, blower wheel, clean coil, blower assembly, or drain pan. $379
Repair, replace, install: Super tune up, comp. blanket, sight glass, contactor, relay, sequence, transformer, capacitor, start kit, rev. valve coil, fan blade, pulley, breaker, disconnect box, digital t-stat, leak ck and adddye, filter drier, igniter, pilot assembly, sensor, fusible link, fan limit. $249
Again, please note these charges are likely to be stacked. Thirteen pounds of R22 under their standard, non- Club Rate is 13x $129 plus another $249 for the leak check.
The Good-
Professionalism- Both of the repairmen who came to my home were polite and professional. They quickly identified and fixed my problem. I complained about the cost of the service and corresponded over several day with their general manager. He too was polite and seemed genuinely interested in his company's reputation and my satisfaction. He also informed me that they were going to lower the cost of the R22 Freon to a more competitive rate and refund me $308 with no conditions attached to reflect the new price. He did acknowledge that the company is more expensive than their competition and stated that the added cost helps them to retain skilled, professional staff and other benefits to the consumer. I was largely appeased by our dialog but ultimately unsatisfied because I asked them to post the above price list on the website (rather than just on the invoice given to customers at the time of service) and they declined.
This company is expensive. While the added expense may or may not be justified, it is impossible to make an informed decision if you are unable to comparison shop before the repairman arrives. I hope this post helps others make a better decision than I did.

First of all he asked for $500.00 cash and a check for $200.00,that seemed fishy. I approached him on June21,2013 and informed him I would take him to court. His reply I would not get anything from him, if I didn't take him to court he would finish the job by the weekend of June 23rd and install the fence on June 25,2013. As to date no work has been performed and he continues to claim I took the paint from his shop and changed my mind to many times. FAQs for grill assembly projects in Hackberry, AZ
The average cost to hire a handyman ranges from about $40 to $140 per hour. Average project cost ranges between $180 and $700, but the cost per hour and per project depends heavily on the type, size, and complexity of the project. The pro’s experience level and your location also factor into how much a handyman charges per hour or per project. You can also expect to pay higher rates or additional fees for emergency services, or around periods of high customer demand, like holidays.
The cost of a gas grill burner ranges from $10 to $100 or more, depending on the brand. If you’re replacing one burner, consider replacing all the burners simultaneously. Although it will cost more upfront, it will save you the hassle of replacing a burner every few months, and your grill will cook more evenly and efficiently.
If your grill is relatively new or under warranty, it’s worth fixing. If the warranty has run out, find the cost of parts (usually a burner or grate that’s rusted out). If the parts cost more than half the price of a new grill, it’s worth buying a new one.
However, if your gas grill is a built-in unit as part of an outdoor kitchen, contact the grill manufacturer or distributor to check on warranty coverage. You should also contact a local gas grill repair technician to get an estimate for repairs or a price to replace your built-in grill.
Yes, you should hire a handyman who’s licensed, certified, and insured, if possible. States have different requirements for handyman licensing, registration, and certifications. If licensing is required in your area, you may pay more for a licensed handyman with experience than one who is not licensed or certified, but you’re likely to get a better end result for your project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local handymen guidelines.
On average, a gas grill can last from five to 15 years. Most grill manufacturers offer an extended warranty, varying in coverage and terms. You can help extend the life of your grill by cleaning it inside and out to remove food, grease, and carbon deposits. Protect your gas grill from the elements with a grill cover to prevent it from rusting, lessening the frequency of repairs.
