The locksmith who came was very nice, very courteous, and got the job done quickly. He rekeyed 8 locks and fixed a latch that the previous owners of our home had broken.

"Equipment is all fairly priced, in fact, some items were cheaper than any other online source. It is all SELF-INSTALLED, so you need to at least know how to operate a screwdriver proficiently. :-) All items have help guides showing you how to install the sensors, door locks, etc. The setup section of the phone app walks you thru the setup of each sensor and lets you know when you're done. I had just had another company install and then remove their system and it took me less time to set up[ this one than they took. The equipment such as door locks (Schlage), sensors (equivalent to Dome or Vivint), front door bell (Skybell) is all TOP quality. All batteries (new) included. Equipment doesn't ship for 48 hours after your order is placed, but then arrives one or two days later. Plan on one full day to install, test and get help (by phone) during your install. As for their support line. It is A1. AAA. Highest award I can think of for telephone support. Courteous, knowledgeable and helpful to a fault. These people provide a full featured system that is awesome. The system's monitoring takes place in NY and is reached by cellular telephone. No wi-fi which a burglar could disable at your home very easily. This they cannot get at. Monitoring cost may vary in your area. Mine is the same as the previously removed sytstem would have been."

"Was able to get an appointment at my convenience, salesman Jeremy was both knowledgeable and personable. Jeremy helped me get the best equipment for my concerns, and together we determined what pieces could wait until I could afford to add more. I was offered a lifetime servicing plan for the equipment at no cost to me or for replacement. The keypad is an awesome piece of equipment (which Larry installed and did an outstanding job with!) and once it was up, I was sort of sad that I didn't just leave it as a "desk top" option that Larry had mentioned so I could move it around the house with me. In hind sight if I had known more about the benefits of leaving it as a desk top option, I probably would have opted for it. But initially I thought it was a "short cut" to install, which it would not have been. By far the coolest thing about 1st Security's service is the fact that they use alarm.com, from which I can arm and disarm my system from my cell phone. No juggling at the door, sprinting to the keypad, etc. I also have a peace of mind that I have never really had with Front Point, Guardian or other security services since I can actually see my alarm activity online and on the app. The system also allows up to 239 individual passwords that you can assign to family members or others you hire to do work at your home. My only disappointment is with signage for the house. I want 2 security signs for my home (relatively higher crime area) but was given one and told he'd get the other one to me only after I offered to pay for it (which honestly, I should not have to do - the more signs in my yard, the better advertisement for your company). Also they "were out of" window clings/stickers, something I want immediately upon install. Larry said they were on order and he would get the stickers and extra sign to me as soon as they were in. I'll update you on that when I get them."
