"I hesitated to ever do this review because it was so long ago! But AL keeps sending me requests for review and since I think this is what we go on Angie's List for - to determine who is reliable, professional or not I decided to do this review! They were very nice people, they did a good job in cleaning out chimney and not making a mess. So I also had them do my dryer vent which exhausts up and out through a vent on my flat roof . I thought it would be simple to accomplish! However, he pulled the vent cover off.. instead of trying to find a way to unscrew or ???? and when he did so, he ripped it out of its mooring and cannot be put back on properly. and since I had foam and elastomeric roof coating this was ripped out of that coating and left a big gash of open foaming! Next time it rained... leaked into the ceiling of bedroom below this. I had stated when he was doing it... you can't pull that off there it is imbedded in the roofing! So I feel that this was not a very professional decision on his part to see this was going to be and then chose to pull that off there and thereby create the leak issue!"

Arizona Air Services is a family owned, and operated, company with over twenty years of experience in cleaning the air you breath. We pride ourselves in treating each and every client like they are part of our family. While other companies have given air duct cleaning a bad name we continue to grow because of our commitment to quality, affordable, honest service. We would rather loose business than to take a job and not complete it perfectly. We do not sell in home, while some companies will quote you a low price and then sell you more services once they are inside your house; we respect the fact that inviting us into your home is something special. We work clean, honest, and make sure that when we leave you're happy we came.

Chimney Sweep questions, answered by experts

The best way to clean a roof without damaging it is to opt for soft washing, or better yet, leave it to a professional roof cleaner. Soft washing involves a biodegradable cleaning solution being sprayed on the roof and gently rinsed away after it dissolves built-up residue on your shingles.

If you’re asking yourself, should you pressure wash your roof, the answer almost always is no. The water pressure that the power washing machine generates could damage the shingles by forcing water underneath or causing them to loosen. Soft washing with a pump sprayer is the better and safer option.

Soft washing chemicals typically consist of a mix of sodium hypochlorite (or a chemical component of bleach) and water. While sodium hypochlorite and bleach are often thought to be the same thing, there is one small but key difference between the two: sodium hypochlorite comes in powdered rather than liquid form, which means that it’s also more concentrated and more effective from less product overall.

It is not advisable to use salt on your roof to prevent or remove ice dams. It’s not only mostly ineffective but can also cause serious damage to your roof itself. Salt can rust metal, damage masonry, pit shingles, and cause runoff that’s damaging to plants and animals.

Vinegar, bleach, chlorine, barley straw, and a bevy of dedicated algaecides can kill algae, which is the easy part. Preventing algae from returning can be a struggle for some homeowners, but keeping the patio well-maintained and clean is a good first step.
