"She cleaned my windows spotless, and even did a little extra work around the house when she had some free time. I would definitely recommend Miss Ana to anyone who needs some help cleaning around the house."

"Art, from D & H Air Conditioning repaired our air conditioning unit recently. I was not at the residence, so my neighbor was there. Art kept me well informed over the phone and described what he was doing in much detail. There were a few challenges which Art solved in a timely manner. I wasn't there, but I could ascertain his very profession approach and technical skills. The Air Conditioner is fixed and Art will be doing a follow up visit in a couple of weeks. I would highly recommend D & H Air Conditioning and Art for any air conditioner service."

Air Conditioning FAQs, answered by experts

No, it isn’t necessarily bad to turn your AC on and off frequently—contrary to popular belief. Even if you stop and start your AC throughout the day, it won’t use as much energy as it would if you ran it nonstop.

If you’re concerned about your power consumption and energy costs, there are a few simple ways to use your AC more efficiently. Regularly cleaning the filters, scheduling routine maintenance, and using a programmable thermostat are all great choices.

Your AC might not cool after a power outage because of a tripped circuit breaker, blown fuse, or damage to the compressor or capacitor. If you notice your AC not working after a power outage, in most cases, the breaker has tripped or the system has built-in brownout and blackout protection. Reboot the AC by turning it off at the thermostat, resetting the circuit breaker, and waiting 30 minutes to turn the AC on again.

If both your furnace and AC unit are more than a decade old, it may be a good idea to replace both of them. However, your furnace can last up to three decades, and your air conditioner can typically last up to 15 years, so consulting with a pro before deciding to replace both of them is best. If it’s before that time limit for each, you can fix many problems with repairs or just replace one.

Common signs of insufficient return air include uneven temperatures, with some parts of your home feeling hotter or colder than others, and noticeable differences in air pressure between rooms. You might also observe that more air is blowing in rooms closer to the AC unit. Leaky air ducts can also be a related issue or clue.

An AC drip pan may stop draining if there’s a clog where the drip pan connects to the drain line. Clogs can form from a lack of cleaning or from rust or corrosion buildup. Cleaning the drip pan at least once per month lowers the chances of debris clogging the drain line.
