"This is by far the worst experience we've had with a company. We wanted a crawlspace encapsulation and use orkin for our termite contract. We were told a lot of stuff their "dryzone" can do and signed the contract. We later found out most of what we were told isn't true and we feel like we've been bait and switched. They have told us they were "done" 5 times now only for us to have an Inspector crawl under and give us a laundry list of stuff they didn't do. It has been almost 6 months now. We've been told it's done 5x and it's still not and now we have fans under our house that literally rattle our floor and can be heard throughout the house. Id stay far away from these people. They're either lying or incompetent or both. If youve had a dryzone installed I highly recommend you get an inspector out to check it over."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Maintaining a clean environment can deter spiders to a certain extent by removing clutter and reducing the number of insects they prey on. Spiders tend to favor secluded spots to spin their webs and hunt for prey, and regular cleaning practices such as dusting, vacuuming, and decluttering can disrupt these ideal conditions. Despite these preventive measures, some spider species are highly adaptable and may still infiltrate your home despite your best efforts to maintain a tidy living space.

Signs include discolored wood, crumbling surfaces, and visible pests. Address these issues promptly to prevent further damage.

Aside from a warm, cozy place to curl up, you might wonder what attracts mice to your home. Several items attract mice, including: Birdseed Pet food Water Cereal and whole grains Food scraps from the composting bin Open trash cans High-fat and high-sugar foods Unused cars—they make great homes for chilly mice Insulation in the attic Clutter Brush from your yard, including leaves, sticks, wood, and shrubs (so mice can make nests) Overgrown trees or bushes—mice love to leap from branches onto the roof Indoor nesting materials, including cloth, paper, tissues, and toilet paper Tiny cracks in the siding or foundation

Yes, honey bees can sting, but they typically only do it when they feel their hive is threatened. When honey bees are away from their hive, they’re focused on foraging for pollen and nectar, making them unlikely to sting. Only female honey bees, called workers, have stingers, and they will die if they need to use them. Generally, if left undisturbed, honey bees will leave you alone.

One of the most widespread chemicals used for killing termites is Fipronil. It’s one of the most common insecticides used by termite exterminators to kill termites fast. However, it’s toxic and generally used in outdoor areas only. Popular brand names of termite killers include Taurus, Bifen, Termidor, and BioAdvanced. All insecticides have pros and cons: Some are safer around humans but don’t last as long. Some may kill nearby plants or have power odors. Some are designed for safe indoor bait stations but take much longer to work.
