"I love working with this company! I have been using them for about two years now. They are very friendly and I feel extremely trustworthy.  They will do anything I ask them to, most of the time without extra cost, unless it's a big job.  Normal cleaning for my house, which I have done every two weeks, includes dusting/polishing all surfaces (the blinds too), vacuuming (sometimes shampooing), the bathrooms (toilets, tubs, floors, counters and mirrors), the kitchen (counters, sink, refrigerator, microwave, and floor), and finally cleaning my hard wood and tile floors.  All of that for a very reasonable price.

"Once the cleaner arrived, he tested the fabric and gave me an estimate for the job. I agreed to the price and he went to work. He even added a starch treatment at no extra cost. He was very professional. He completed the job timely and gave me tips on how to clean it if I stain it again."

"They were Excellent!  They were very polite and professional.   I felt very safe with them in my house.  They all came in the same uniform, and all looked very clean and neat.   They picked up after themselves, and were very careful  moving  their equipment around, and, careful  not to break or damage any walls or furnishings.   They were very helpful and  full of knowledge in regards to, how I can keep up and maintain the cleanliness of my tile floors, carpet and, sofas.

"From their visit for the proposal to the finished product they were professional, courteous, helpful and meticulous in their work. I can not say enough good things about Steve from Paul's Tile who over saw the entire process. He stayed in constant contact, was quick to jump on anything that might be different or a problem from what we originally thought, and was extremely professional. They even provided a cleaning service for bathroom and adjoining room when the job was completed. Our bathroom looks fantastic, and we will be contacting Paul's Tile next year when we plan to replace countertops and cabinets!"

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

The answer to this question depends on how large the room is and how much experience you have stripping and waxing floors. It will take at least 24 hours to strip the floors, then you must allow time for drying, waxing, waiting for them to cure, and, finally, buffing them. Since you likely will not be working for the full 24 hours, it is safe to say that this is a two- or three-day job.

Steam mops can be a better option than traditional mops because the steam can lift stubborn dirt from floors without using chemicals, and it also kills bacteria and dust mites. However, steam mops have drawbacks: they are more expensive, require an electrical outlet, and are not suitable for all flooring types, such as laminate or hardwood, which can be damaged by the steam.

Regular mopping can also sanitize floors effectively when done with the right cleaning products and techniques, though it may require more effort. The main advantage of a traditional mop is its versatility, as it can be used on any type of flooring. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your floor type, budget, and cleaning preferences.

Besides feeling icky grit when walking barefoot in your home, not mopping the floors can create health risks. Pollen, dirt, dust, and overall filth lead to allergen, bacteria, and even mold buildup, polluting your home and creating an unhygienic environment. You also risk damaging the floors due to stains and scratches with neglect. Lastly, your home will become less inviting due to odors from the lack of cleaning.

You can use dish soap mixed with warm water to clean just about any type of flooring, and while vinegar is a great addition to some floor cleaners, it’s not a good idea to use it on wood flooring or engineered wood flooring. Vinegar is very acidic, and it can gradually eat away at the protective finish on wood floors. If you’re cleaning laminate, tile, concrete, or vinyl floors, feel free to use vinegar and water in a 1-to-1 ratio with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, substitute the vinegar for olive oil.

Yes, you can polish an existing concrete floor—as long as the slab is structurally sound and in good shape. In fact, that’s what makes this type of flooring upgrade so appealing. Polishing works best on bare concrete with minimal surface damage, although you can usually repair cracks and stains before the grinding and buffing begins. Instead of ripping out your existing concrete floor, polishing it can turn it into a high-shine showpiece that’s both practical and sleek.
