"They were excellent.  We got home on the 22nd of June and they were actually here within 3 days from then.  There were here as soon as I contacted the insurance company.  They were here everyday.  They came out everyday to double check and see how it was going.  It took a couple of weeks or more for them to dry out everything.  They were extremely good and very professional.  They were recommended to me and they did an excellent job.  My insurance company paid for the service.  They were very knowledgeable and definitely knew what they were doing.  They came out and took over.  They told me to relax and they would take care of everything.  They did it all and I didn’t have to mop up the water.  I would use them again in the future if need be.    "

Buffing and Polishing questions, answered by experts

While quartz is highly stain-resistant, it is not completely stain-proof. Spills, including water, should be wiped up as soon as possible to prevent staining. Minor stains are usually not permanent and can be removed using a quartz-safe cleaner, a simple mixture of dish soap and water, or a baking soda paste applied with a soft microfiber cloth. For severe stains that persist, professional treatment may be necessary, and in rare cases, countertop repair or replacement might be required.

Due to soapstone's non-porous nature and antimicrobial properties, you don’t need to seal it like other stone materials like marble or granite. However, even though sealing isn't required, it can enhance soapstone's natural stain resistance. Another protective option is to apply mineral oil once per month.

A mason lays brick or stone together, sometimes with mortar in between the bricks and stones, and sometimes without mortar, also called a dry-stack or surface bonding. Examples of work masons do include:

  • Brick, stone, or cement block houses and buildings

  • Freestanding stone or brick walls

  • Chimneys with wood-burning fireplaces

  • Cement block basement or crawl space walls

The time required for stone restoration or polishing can range from a few hours to several days. Most standard jobs are completed in 4-8 hours. The final duration depends on factors like the size of the area, the condition of the stone, and accessibility. Larger areas or surfaces with heavy damage may require multiple sessions to complete.

Costs depend on stone type, surface condition, labor, and whether sealing or deep cleaning is required.
