They came on a Sunday afternoon and applied a chemical to my mobile home siding and then pressure washed  the whole thing. All of the green mildew vanished and my siding looks like new. No kidding the outside siding looks brand spanking new. Amazing job. It took about 2 hours and they worked straight through. Everything was put back the way it was when they were done.

He showed me what the pressure wash could do with my deck and he did a test spot and it can bring back the wood to almost the way it was new. That will be my project in the future.

Plaster is a pretty tough surface, but it can still sustain damage from things like bumping against it, water issues, dampness, extreme humidity changes, and plain old age. Most plaster walls last hundreds of years and will only be taken down to the base layer when major repairs are required. Being cautious around the wall, not placing furniture against it, and ensuring stable humidity are all great ways to reduce possible damage.

When used correctly, drywall patch kits can work well. However, there are limitations. Specifically, these kits can only cover holes up to 5 inches in diameter. That’s a far more complicated process that involves buying the right type of drywall, finding the wall studs, cutting into your wall, and screwing the replacement drywall in place.

It is more difficult to drywall a ceiling than it is to drywall a wall, but not so hard that DIYers can’t tackle it. One of the main issues with hanging drywall on your ceiling is getting it into place.
