"I called Logue Electric to set up my work and I was told that they were no longer affiliated with Angie's List and that I would need to contact you for a refund."
"This company is obviously nationwide and hires local contractors. I trusted Agies List that all contractors are licensed, bonded and have background checks. This person was a handyman and not qualified to wall mount, conceal wires, add electrical outlet. He spend five hours in my home, for a job that should have taken two hours and left the area in a disaster. The TV was hung close to the ceiling, the wires were hanging down from the TV, and the receiver was sitting on top of a plaster box because the cord was too short. He was obviously not qualified to install TV wall mounts. I have photos. As soon as he left, I called Best Buy Geek Squad. They were able to come out the next day and mount the TV professionally. I have used the geek squad in Virginia and they are highly qualified. They charge more than this nationwide company but you get what you pay for. I called Angies List the day after the disaster and said i did not want to rate this company but I wanted to talk to a manager. No one called me to apologize. I have cancelled my membership. Do not use this company unless you can be assured that the local contractor is qualified and is licensed. You should never let anyone into your home that has not had background checks. "
Homes in Blytheville built before 1980, or those with outdated 60-amp or 100-amp service, often benefit from upgrades. If your kitchen or bathroom lacks GFCI outlets, or you have limited outdoor lighting, consider electrical improvements. Properties with crawl spaces or older wiring are especially good candidates for surge protection and modern safety features, which are important given local weather patterns.
Helpful?
In Blytheville, kitchens and bathrooms often need upgrades for GFCI outlets and dedicated appliance circuits. Outdoor areas benefit from weatherproof outlets and surge protection, especially with frequent storms. Basements and crawl spaces require moisture-resistant wiring. Aging HVAC systems and older fuse boxes may also need attention. Upgrading smoke detectors and adding whole-house surge protection are smart, long-term investments for local homeowners.
Helpful?
If you’re experiencing frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, or outlets that feel hot or show discoloration in your Blytheville home, it’s a sign to schedule electrical work. Homes with panels over 25 years old or aluminum wiring are especially at risk. After local storms or periods of high humidity, watch for burning odors or malfunctioning GFCI outlets—these issues often signal the need for prompt attention.
Helpful?
Structural features like slab-on-grade foundations, tight crawl spaces, or original plaster walls in historic Blytheville homes can complicate electrical upgrades. Finished basements, multiple stories, or additions may require extra planning. The region’s high water table and shifting clay soil can also impact access and safety, so consulting an experienced local electrician is wise before starting major projects.
Helpful?
In Blytheville, you can safely replace light bulbs, reset GFCI outlets, and swap out standard switches or outlets—always turn off the breaker first and verify power is off. Due to high humidity, ensure your hands and tools are dry. If you notice water damage, persistent flickering, or issues with your main panel, stop work immediately and contact a licensed local electrician for safe repairs.
