"I do not recommend Bath Planet. The cost is exorbitant for such a pretty product made with poor quality materials and shoddy installation. There is too much give in the flimsy walls and pan. After only a month, I had to have someone come in and recaulk. It took a LOT of caulk for the big gaps. Yes, there was mold. Then, two years later, yet another issue. We noticed a squishing sound in the hall, then water started coming up between the floorboards. It took a plumber two trips (and a week of using no water in that end of the house - no dishwasher, kitchen sink, laundry, or bathroom) so the floors could dry and he could find the source of the water. Turns out, the shower drain was not properly installed, or perhaps it had worked itself loose with the flimsy bendable pan. Water was draining between the concrete slab and our pvc laminate flooring. Yes, I am upset. I am so sorry I allowed Bath Planet anywhere near my house."

I have 10 years experience in the building trades industry, from initially working on historical buildings in New York City to doing gut renovations on private homes there, then transitioning into cabinetry in Portland, OR to finally starting my own carpentry service business back in my native Ozarks in Northern Arkansas. I work on an hourly rate plus all materials, this sets me apart from many other contractors who operate on an "estimate wage principle" meaning that they quote the homeowner a certain amount and then slowly do the job after they get money upfront. I am only being paid while I work for you on your project. If I'm not there, you aren't paying for anything!! I learned this practice while working in New York City, it keeps everything on the level and you(the homeowner) happy!!!!
