Small jobs welcome

"On 5/11/2026 A-State Junk Removal and Hauling came all the way from Searcy to give me a quote on some junk removal. He arrived on time, assessed what needed to be removed and we discussed prices. I did not have to haggle about price. The price was fair. The removal was very quick and efficient and I even talked about having him remove other items in the future. I’m extremely happy with the service that was provided and will do business with A-State Junk Removal And Holding again in the future"

"Miller and his colleagues were able to do a lot of things quickly. Along with everything else, they also grabbed some old furniture that I needed help moving to the curb. They took several cares to make sure nothing was damaged during the move, including wrapping the furniture, turning off all the lights, and packaging the picture frames."

"My mistake. Overhaul Junk Removal did not perform the removal of my trash. An unknown neighborhood scavenger removed the old recliner from my yard before the Angi contractor could respond."

"Awesome! Christian and Rafael were super professional, kind, and thorough. They completely cleaned out my parents garage and attic, full of 40+years of accumulation. They moved many heavy items that would have been impossible or difficult to move on my own. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone. The service was worth every penny."

"Always kept me up to date and always hard at it, very well mannered and could not beat the pricing! I was a little under financed at the time I needed the work done and they worked with me and made it possible to get it all done with what I could afford and I would highly recommend them to anyone I know! Good group of young men!"

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

If your garbage disposal powers up and you can hear it hum, but the arms inside aren’t moving, the problem might be a stubborn clog, a build-up of grease, or a jam of the impeller plate. To troubleshoot these, ensure your unit is off and disconnected from its power source before checking inside the drain or attempting to manually rotate the impeller arms or plate from the underside of the unit. A hex wrench can help.

On average, it takes one to four hours for a professional to install a garbage disposal. This includes removing the old unit, taking necessary measurements for positioning, removing and fitting new pipes, and installing the brand-new disposal system. If there are unforeseen issues, such as accessibility concerns, the process takes longer.

It’s one thing that helps, alongside vinegar and baking soda. Ice acts as an exfoliant, helping to lift off any bits of food stuck on the disposal blades.

Soil is just one of the items you shouldn't put down a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are only meant for soft, non-fibrous foods. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.

Your garbage disposal will only affect the health of your septic tank if you’re using it too frequently, or filling it with organic waste that doesn’t fully break down. If the tank fills up with too many solids, the bacteria won’t have enough time to consume it before more is added, which can lead to an overflow in the drain field. Your tank will need to be pumped more frequently with excessive or improper garbage disposal use.
