I have a part time helper, I do some sub-contracting, billing is normally cash,credit card or check. I can leave and invoice, special discounts of ten percent off in spring from April to June on chimney cleaning only.

"Jeff is AMAZING! He was prompt to respond, prompt to come to my house...several times...and spent a great deal of time explaining my options and what needed to be done. My house is 100 years old, and the chimney was crumbling. He took it down to the flashing and capped it off and even saved the antique bricks for me. He willingly came back several times because the plumbers messed up their scheduling to install the gas line. He cleaned years worth of garbage that was behind the ancient gas stove, built a firebox, painted it flat black, and installed my new gas logs. He always cleaned up after himself and was kind and generous with his time, explaining things to me. He even spent a long time on the phone talking me through relighting my pilot light when I couldn't get it to light. I would highly recommend him to do chimney work."

Other than it looking like a dirty car, there are some other signs you need to clean your roof. Moss growth, algae (often black streaks), grime buildup, buildup under shingles, and leaf buildup are all classic signs a cleaning is overdue. If you have neighbors, take a look around. If your roof appears different in any way, that’s another sign to call a pro to have it cleaned.

If you’re asking yourself, should you pressure wash your roof, the answer almost always is no. The water pressure that the power washing machine generates could damage the shingles by forcing water underneath or causing them to loosen. Soft washing with a pump sprayer is the better and safer option.

Clay tile roofs require minimal maintenance, as they stand up very well to the elements and often won’t fade in direct sunlight. They also don’t need sealing. Concrete tiles are also relatively low maintenance, but you will need more maintenance than with clay. You’ll need to seal concrete every few years to improve water resistance, and the color will fade a bit more quickly than with clay.

If you don’t have gutters, you can hang Christmas lights on your tile roof or shingles with the right kind of roof clips. Again, you should avoid using nails or staples, as they could damage your roof’s material. Adhesive light-hanging clips are best for hanging lights on a roof.

If you wish to forego painting your shingles but still want to give them a fresh look, a deep cleaning is the first step. Clean off any debris from your roof and gutters, and then power wash your shingles to get grime and algae off. To take things one step further, you might even consider installing new gutters to give your home a bright new look.
