"We were very pleased with the work that Anthoney’s Lawn Care performed! They responded quickly once we reached out for a quote, were in communication the whole time, arrived promptly on the day of our work to be done and did a great job! We hired them to do our lawn maintenance weekly and bushes/trees as needed! We appreciate them so much and look forward to working with them in the future!"

"Crew showed up early and worked hard throughout the day; it was a big job.  Overall, quality is a B- with my only somewhat critical comment being that the underground draining lines weren't covered as well as I would have hoped.  They settled pretty good leaving a dip the length of the "trench". I had to go back and add top soil to bring them back to even with the rest of the lawn.  By the way, I LOVE the drainage system!  Sprinklers work great.  I wish they would have called me by now to check on things or at least stopped by to make any adjustments. I guess I'll have to call them.  I would do business with them again and do recommend them..

Customers say: True professional

"Landscaping Guys did a great job re-sodding my lawn! They helped prepare the dirt (removed old grass/weeds), ordered and had delivered the new sod, and then installed the sod. They reset all the irrigation heads and replaced any that malfunctioned. They also installed a couple of drainage areas to remove standing water. They did a great job, were on time, and the results are fantastic. Throughout it all, Jesus kept me informed of the plan and walked me through the process for each step. The price was fair and they completed the job ahead of schedule. It was always a great, hard working crew on site."

"Torres Lawn and Landscape weeded, trimmed, cultivate, and mulched my lawn from July 29 to 31, 2019. Herman and his assistant did an excellent job. Every job was done thoroughly. They cleaned the grounds after their work. Highly recommend Torres."

Lawn Care questions, answered by experts

Both zoysia grass and bermuda grass are somewhat similar to St. Augustine because they’re all warm-season grasses. Beyond that, most grass types have unique properties that set them apart. Zoysia grass costs twice the price of St. Augustine grass on average and it has thinner blades and a deeper green appearance. Bermuda grass, compared to St. Augustine, has much thinner blades, is softer to the touch, and has a higher tolerance for colder weather.

A standard home lawn mower with sharp blades can handle a thin layer of leaves without issue. You may need to make a couple of passes within several days to mulch leaves down, but your mower shouldn’t struggle. If your mower comes with a mulching kit, like an attachment to blow leaves out the side, that’s a good sign it’s ready for fall leaves. Set your mower to the highest or near-highest height for this project so it focuses on the leaves rather than the grass below.

Bermuda grass may be drought-resistant, but it still needs to be watered once or twice a week. The suggested amount of water Bermuda grass needs varies from season to season. Bermuda grass needs about 1 inch of water a week in summer, fall, and winter; it needs up to ¾ inch in spring.

You can fertilize right after mowing as long as you've collected the clippings. If you leave grass clipping, they can form a mat that prevents the fertilizer from reaching the soil. Plus, grass clippings are rich in nitrogen, so if you leave them and then apply fertilizer, you can end up with too much nitrogen in the soil.

It is not recommended to mow wet grass, including grass with morning dew. Mowing when wet can damage your lawn, your mower, and potentially cause injury. Wet grass blades are more likely to be torn rather than cut cleanly, which can lead to brown tips and increase the risk of fungal diseases. Additionally, wet clippings can clump together, smothering the grass underneath, and can clog your mower. For best results, wait until the grass is dry to the touch, which is often about two hours after morning dew has evaporated. Regular lawn mower maintenance is also important for a clean cut.
