"A contract was drawn and services were agreed upon after 1 and 1/2 days of work they told my girlfriend they were done and left. I got home that day and checked the work and found that only half the items on the contract were completed. I contacted the rep and after discussing the situation we altered the work and contract. I have yet to see the intended results from the work but the company is easy to work with."

Yes, any parts of drywall that are wet or overly moist will need to be replaced. Drywall is intended to be dry (it’s in the name, after all.), as excess moisture can lead to mold and mildew and eventually corrode your home’s foundational building pieces. When cutting new drywall, it can release dust with silica and other compounds that could pose health risks. These materials hide the seams between drywall sheets and fill the holes from drywall screws, leaving behind a smooth, flat finish to paint over. Whether you apply the drywall mesh before or after drywall mud depends on the type of patch it is. For self-adhesive patches, you’ll put the patch down first and then coat it with mud. Mesh patches that are not self-adhesive will require you to put mud down first and then press the mesh into it, followed by additional coats of mud.
