"Exceptional work. Blake has a well-trained and well supervised crew, all actively involved in getting the job done right. Courteous, respected my property, took extra care to not damage underground lines. They cleaned up afterwards, all debris, raked leaves, and tilled garden so it is replant ready. They even blew off dirt on driveway. Great value for the price!"

"We moved here in December and yard was a big mess. We hired them a couple of months ago for maintenance. They are very good, prompt and clean. They offered much assistance in making recommendations for where to start with our badly neglected yard. We had a separate crew come out and remove bushes, trees and a dead tree. They worked very fast and job done very well. We will be calling them again soon for next project."

"GREAT! I was totally and thoroughly impressed from the quote to the finish. He was honest with what I wanted done & recommended I limit my trimming to not stress my “Angel”tree, aka Oak. I had 4-5 trees hanging on my roof and he did a beautiful job. He & his partner went above and beyond for me. I’ve never seen 2 men keep such a neat work area. It took a couple of hours not bad at all! It would’ve been quicker if I kept my gift of gab at bay, 😂 I HIGH RECOMMEND Fusion Land Management. They listen and have great open communication. Great guys!"

Small jobs welcome

"Hernandez is a nice guy but there is a lot he has to learn! He cut off a Tuplit tree which should never be cut plus when he trimmed our shrubs along the house he didn't know he was suppose to cut the backs also. My husband told him what to cut, but he may have been nervous. We like him and will tell him what should be and not be cut again! We'll keep him!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Completely topping a plum tree is a risky business. Cut too much, and you’ll kill your tree. That said, you do need to trim the top of your tree to encourage bushy growth, maintain your tree’s vase shape, and limit size.

A plum tree's central leader (or trunk) should never extend more than 3 feet above the highest branch. When you first plant your tree, cut the central leader so it’s 2 to 3 feet tall. As it grows, cut it back 12 to 20 inches until it reaches its desired height. Never prune more than one-third of the new growth.

For safety reasons, leaning trees are best removed by a professional, as they may often tear away from the hinge, causing you to lose control over where the tree falls. If you choose to cut down a tree leaning slightly, avoid cutting off root protrusions before you start. Make your hinge a little longer than usual by cutting it deeper (up to 30% of the diameter) and applying a wedge into the felling cut on the side the tree is leaning. Stand away from the direction the tree leans while making your felling cut.

It’s not always easy to tell when a tree is dying, although signs like dropping branches and brittle bark can sometimes offer clues. It can also be difficult to know whether a tree is dead or dormant, especially if it’s a deciduous tree. You’ll want to wait until a growth season to get a good idea of a tree’s health. When in doubt, contact an arborist for a consultation.

Consumers typically do not need to worry about the cost of tree insurance, as professional tree service companies pay for their own coverage. For a tree service business, an average U.S. policy covering about $1 million in general liability costs roughly $40 a month or $500 a year. More extensive policies, providing between $500,000 to $2 million in coverage, can cost between $3,000 and $6,000 annually, depending on the company's size and scope of work. Tree service professionals should speak with an insurance company to determine the right plan for their business.

It can be bad to leave a dead stump in the ground. A stump becomes a hefty piece of dead wood in time and eventually (especially with the help of rain) starts to rot. That makes it a locus point for diseases and pesky insects, as well as a bit of an eyesore. It’s best to remove a tree stump completely before it starts to decay, especially before it starts to fall apart. If the tree was removed because of disease, it’s even more important to fully remove the stump if possible.
