"Terry did a great job! He replaced a few of the boards on the stairs. He painted the framing around the screens. He notified me when he would arrive and he showed! He puts things back in its place, and cleaned up! I would hire him again."

"It went as great as it possibly could have if not better! The deck is a place we can relax every evening and is absolutely gorgeous! We get so many compliments on how beautiful it turned out. We have recommended MacHandy's services to all of our family and friends. The rooms they painted are just stunning. It is absolute perfection. I will definitely use MacHandy's for all of our remodeling and home repairs and even the add on to our home we are planning. Larry and his girlfriend work side by side and are just adorable. They established a personal relationship with us right off the bat. They addressed any issue that came up during the whole process and made sure they delivered exactly what we wanted."

"Ifa responded to my request the same day over the weekend and began work on my gazebo on Monday. He and his team were professional and put in extra hours to make sure my gazebo was constructed properly. They triple-checked that everything was level and the roof overlay was equal on all sides, and then they drilled my gazebo into concrete. Everyone on the team was friendly and really considerate! Ifa’s team can handle everything—roofing, porch and patio construction, carpentry, drywall, painting, and his brother is an electrician. The price was very reasonable. I will absolutely be hiring 360 Gear Pro Work for my next home renovation project!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Rust, bent panels, loose posts, and broken welds often require repair.

One of the best features of composite fences is their long lifespan. You can expect your composite fence to last 20 to 30 years. It lasts long because it consists of recycled plastic and wood fibers. The plastic offers durability that wood alone can’t provide. It’s mold- and rot-resistant, as well as weather-resistant.

Aluminum is among the longest-lasting fencing materials, with a lifespan of 30 to 50 years or more. One of the reasons it lasts so long is because aluminum is highly resistant to rust and corrosion. You can help prolong its lifespan by keeping it free of vegetation and cleaning it every few months with a hose and mild soap.

The most durable metal for a fence is wrought iron. With proper care, a wrought iron fence can last for centuries. This means regular resealing to stave off rust and corrosion, especially in coastal climates with salty sea air. In these environments, chain link and corrugated fencing tend to stand up better to the elements with fewer maintenance needs.

A split rail fence is not typically considered among types of dog fencing. Many dogs are small enough to slip out between or under rails, and dangerous pests like coyotes can slip in. However, adding wire mesh to a split rail fence can add the security needed for dog safety without compromising the timeless look that makes the split rail style appealing.
