"Came to our lake house twice to fix an issue with shower going hot and cold and the issue was not rectified either time, yet we were charged approx $800 for each visit (including “trip charge”). We were slow to pay the second time because we were asking them to come back and fix the issue and we got chastised by the lady calling to collect with threats that “trust me, you dont want to owner to get involved” inferring that he was not going to be pleasant to deal with. We actually asked for the owner to call but all we got was were threats to be sent to bad debt collection so we gave up and just paid the bill. Now we’ve spent $1600 with Ace, who cares nothing about making sure our issue was resolved but just collecting their fees and we still haven’t gotten our problem fixed. Great example of why contractors have a bad name. No integrity."

If the clog is located close to the drain or an access point and isn’t severe, the project will take about half an hour. There are several steps you can take to prevent your AC drain from clogging. Pouring drain cleaner down a vent pipe isn’t recommended. First of all, unlike a clog in a sink or bath caused by such material as soap scum build-up, toothpaste, and hair, clogs in a vent pipe are likely the result of debris from trees or even an animal stuck in the pipe. Drain cleaners won’t be able to eat through this kind of material. The cleaner will only become clogged in the vent with the debris, causing even more problems.

Although linear drains allow water to flow quickly and efficiently, they tend to clog more easily than traditional drains. Linear drains are flush with the shower floor, allowing soap scum and hair to potentially build up. They’re also longer than other drains, allowing for more space to let debris fall into the drainpipe. 

When you put baking soda and vinegar down the drain, they chemically react and help break down clogs. It’s not going to work for every type of clog, however. For example, it’s not the best way to get rid of grease buildup. For grease, you should try boiling water and white vinegar instead.
