The crew worked all day with Michael's supervision, and asked us of any concern or questions that we might have. I read great reviews prior to engaging them - their collaboration with each member of the group has proven their professionalism. I waited 2 weeks to write this review in order to observe if any leaks or other concern that might arise. Prior to the start of the workday the crew covered all areas that might be soiled while they work & at the end of the day they cleaned the space thoroughly . This proves their professionalism. "Terrible company that does not stand behind their work. The owner Ken is nothing short of a bald faced liar. I had this company do 2 different commercial jobs and they screwed them both up. One they fixed after we chased them for months and the other they refused to fix even after it became apparent that their crew hadn't cleaned or prepped the walls properly which caused the paint to start flaking off within a month or so of the completion date. Ken was full of hot air and excuses and even tried to blame Sherwin Williams paint for their subpar work. They have been paid in full and yet they still refuse to fix their mistake. Classic example of a company that doesn't desire to be in business."

You can drywall over plaster, but there are some things to consider. First, installing drywall over plaster will increase the wall’s thickness. The amount of drywall you need for a 1,000-square-foot basement depends on the ceiling height, angles, number of doors and windows, and more. To find the wall square footage, multiply the width and height of each wall, minus any gaps from windows or doors, and add the totals together. You’ll also need enough drywood nails or screws to install the drywall correctly.

Water-damaged drywall should almost always be replaced. Not only does it look bad, it’s a breeding ground for toxic mold. Even if you think the area is dry and there’s no active leak, the only way to be sure is to cut out the damaged area and see for yourself.

Drywall is safe to cut as long as you follow proper procedures, such as wearing personal protective equipment and using the right tools to score and cut the drywall. When cutting new drywall, it can release dust with silica and other compounds that could pose health risks.
