"The front yard was done - and cleaned up promptly. He removed quite a few bushes and limbs in the back yard several weeks ago - and has never been back - with no good explanation at all - what he offered about why he hadn't returned sounded made up. The moral of is this is what we should have done - gotten a contract, see if he was bonded, see if he was dependable. After several weeks - I called him and is was extremely agigated with me and hung up. Is that how you treat a customer???? Both me and my partner are handicapped seniors and we've learned a good lesson."

This depends on the type of tree you are moving. Deciduous trees excel when moved in early spring before growth begins or in the fall after the leaves drop. Generally, you don’t want to prune trees when there’s a risk of temperatures suddenly dropping from 50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit to 0 degrees Fahrenheit or below. A tree is most sensitive until 48 hours after it’s pruned.

State and local laws vary, but in most cases, you are allowed to trim any branches from your neighbor's tree that cross your property line. However, it's important to ensure you do not damage the overall health of the tree in the process. Removing branches incorrectly can jeopardize the health of the tree and could lead to you being on the hook to replace it.
