Most single-pane windows use glass that’s ⅛” to ¼” thick. While increasing the thickness can cut down on sound, the real noise-blocking power comes from stacking layers. Double—and triple-pane windows are far more effective for soundproofing. The combination of mass and separation breaks up sound waves better than thick glass could on its own.

Start by attaching the mirror to a wall stud if possible. Next, use appropriate hardware for the mirror's size and the wall material. That could look like drywall anchors, toggle bolts, or self-drilling anchors to ensure a strong hold. Additionally, D-rings or hanging brackets are more secure than a nail. You can also use mirror adhesive to secure small or larger mirrors with a vanity as a base.

Once you’ve gotten any scuff marks, grime, and burn marks off your glass stovetop you can use vinegar to finalize the clean without leaving streaks. Just put some white vinegar in a spray bottle and spritz it onto the stovetop before wiping it in a consistent direction with a microfiber cloth.
