"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had the pleasure of working with Triple G Contracting on one of our Dollar Tree paint and refresh projects in Winfield, AL, and couldn’t be be happier with the experience. Jason, the owner, was kind, professional, and incredibly communicative from start to finish. This project came together at the last minute, and he quickly mobilized dedicated crews to make it happen without missing a beat. His team completed the painting scope on time, communicated throughout the project, and delivered quality workmanship. It’s refreshing to work with a contractor who follows through on their commitments and truly cares about the finished product. We sincerely appreciate everything Jason and his team did to help make this project a success. We highly recommend Triple G Contracting and look forward to working with them again on future stores!"

"We contacted several companies concerning dampness in our crawl space and a sag in our floor. AFS clearly provided the most professional response. Ryan Haley did an exceptional job selling the services that would address the problem rather than pushing something we didn't need. He measured, explained and was upfront about every detail. We could not have been more confident in selecting AFS. On the day the job started, Josh and Adam called to give us an E.T.A. and then promptly arrived to start the work. On day one, they cleared out the crawlspace, removed the debris and neatly stacked excess bricks we wanted to save. They kept us informed and showed us what needed to be seen, generously taking the time to answer any questions. These two guys are military vets, professional and hard-working. You couldn't ask for a better team. On day two, Brian joined Josh and Adam to complete the encapsulation, install a floor support beam and a dehumidifier system. These three were under the house all day until they completed the job! At the end of the day, they showed us the finished work, answered any questions, and didn't leave until they were sure we were completely satisfied. I even checked the yard expecting to find little bits of debris and they left our yard better than when they arrived. Both Josh and Ryan called to follow up after the work was completed -- so professional! Our experience was truly exceptional and five star plus. My next door neighbor is interested in seeing the work they did and I will definitely recommend AFS."

"Windows from Zen are excellent looking double-pane windows at an affordable price (plus, I took advantage of an Angie's List special package deal).  A tremendous improvement over our existing bare aluminum windows. Everything was as-advertised and the windows had no damage or issues whatsoever.  The installers came when they said they would and the installation is neat and professional-looking.  I will call Zen when I get around to replacing other windows and doors.

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

Most window screens in residential homes are designed to be removed from the inside, especially with double-hung, single-hung, and casement styles. That said, some setups require exterior removal. Older homes or custom installs may have exterior clips or brackets, and sunscreens are almost always mounted on the outside. Before removing your window screen, look at how it is held in place.

While sometimes used interchangeably, screen doors and storm doors have key differences. Screen doors are simple structures, typically composed of just a frame and a screen, designed to keep out bugs while allowing air circulation. In contrast, storm doors are heavier and more complex, built to protect your home's main entry door from weather and intruders. They usually feature an aluminum frame with interchangeable tempered glass and screen panels, allowing you to switch between ventilation and insulation. A storm door offers more protection and versatility but generally costs more than a basic screen door.

Drafts, condensation between panes, difficulty operating, or visible frames or glass damage are signs of needed repairs.

The cost ultimately depends on size, but roughly, the most popular screen materials will set you back anywhere from around $0.25 to over $25 per square foot. Fiberglass and aluminum are usually less expensive at around $0.25 to $0.70 per square foot. Solar screens cost about $7.50 to $15 per square foot, while security screens range from around $10 to $25 per square foot.

Window screen repair costs an average of $310, with a typical range of $100 to $480. The final price depends on several factors, including the window size, accessibility, screen type, whether the frame needs replacement, and especially the screen material.

The cost of window screen materials varies widely based on durability and features:

  • Fiberglass: $35–$200

  • Aluminum: $50–$300

  • Copper: $90–$850

  • Stainless Steel: $45–$400

  • Brass: $100–$900

  • Solar: $55–$850

  • Security: $100–$1,000

  • Vinyl: $25–$120

Costs also differ by screen type. For instance, a prefabricated screen might cost only $40, moveable screens typically run $25 to $75, and retractable screens range from $300 to $900. To save money, you can choose more affordable materials like vinyl or fiberglass, opt to rescreen instead of replacing the entire frame, and have multiple screens repaired at once to reduce labor costs.
