"I had the best experience with All Service Moving! Mike and Stan absolutely rock - best moving team ever! They moved me into my new house from Sumner to Spanaway, then my mom a month later from Renton. They were so efficient, careful, professional and friendly. They made sure all our items were carefully wrapped and protected and they moved everything quickly, yet effortlessly - I wouldn't recommend anybody else to get you all settled into wherever your moving! Thank you guys!!"

"Nationwide made my moving experience easy. This is my third time moving cross country. The other two times prior were a disaster. Nationwide Moving really came through. Handle my belongings with care. Very polite crew and stood by their estimate and did not increase my move. I highly recommend."

"We have engaged six interstate companies to move us since 1978. This was one of our best interstate moves. About the Move is a family run company. They had the same crew wrapping, loading, delivering and unloading our belongings, about 20,000 lbs. This is important as our last move, by another contractor in Dallas/Fort Worth, had a different crew for each step and then dropped off our load in a Birmingham warehouse as we waited an additional three days to have another crew deliver resulting in some damage and lost items. Almost nothing damaged by About the Move, no claims to file. Recommend taking the $500 insurance offer. Great personable team of hard workers. My only issue was not getting a lock on the estimated price and it cost about 5% more than the estimated quote. Regardless the total price was 20-30% lower than the two other national carriers. About the Move has a great rating with the BBB and the three references supplied by Josh, the owner, gave glowing references on their interstate move. Frank, Hunter, Jordan, and Chad were the team. I would highly recommend for a local or interstate move and would hire them again."

Moving questions, answered by experts

Planning your office move should ideally start three to six months or more in advance. This timeframe allows plenty of time for tasks such as researching moving companies, creating a budget, coordinating with employees, decluttering and organizing, packing, and addressing any logistical challenges. Starting early also ensures that you have flexibility in scheduling and can handle unexpected hiccups that may arise during the planning process.

Not all furniture needs to be disassembled. Smaller items or pieces that are easily transportable might not require disassembly. You only need to worry about assembling large pieces, like a sofa, in order to fit through existing door frames and hallways. Before you disassemble anything, take measurements of your furniture and talk to your moving company about what should be taken apart prior to moving.

Traveling with your automobile over short distances when moving is typically less expensive than shipping it with a transport company. However, consumers start to break even at around 500 miles. It's typically less costly and worth shipping your car with a professional transport company if the distance you're going exceeds 500 miles.

Yes, many office moving costs are tax deductible, but only businesses are eligible to deduct moving expenses on their taxes. Personal moves, such as relocating for a new job or moving from an apartment to a house, are not deductible.

However, not all business taxes are deductible by that business. Deductible business moving expenses are limited to the direct costs associated with relocating office supplies and equipment. This process encompasses brokerage fees for securing a new location, space surveys, packing, loading, transportation, and unpacking. Costs related to moving employees or other indirect expenses are not eligible for tax deductions.

The amount you need to save depends on the cost of living in your new home country, your visa requirements, and the cost of health care and insurance.
