"Ant control, Bat control, Bug & Insect control, Mosquito control, Rat control, Spider control -- these folks do it all and they do it excellently well. They go above and beyond, sweeping away webs under the eaves and coping gracefully with my neighbor's yappy dogs. When squirrels began gnawing on my fascia, they made certain to let me know before the damage became severe. When I had bats in my belfry, they gently chased away the creatures and hardened my house so that the bats would not return. When I asked for a bond in addition to termite protection, they supplied. When my house proved to be more prone to bug infestations than expected (two creeks border my property), they were flexible enough to adjust to my particular needs. When I texted a picture of a particularly large and unfamilliar bug that surprised me in my shower, they came immediately. During a particularly heavy rain, I turned on the porch light to see beady little eyes staring back at me from atop a storage chest; Scout put out rat control measures the next day. And every person working for Scout Pest Control shows the same professionalism, the same dedication to and quality of service. I can't say enough good about these folks. I'm so very grateful that I found them so quickly after moving to Alabama; if I had not, the critters would have run me out long ago! With Scout, I don't have to worry about any kind of pest--I know Scout can handle it!"

"I still have spiders and ants outside but the exterminator comes back when you call. It's hard to tell how successful the treatment is since we've had a lot of rain."

.. COST IS DETERMINED BY THE JOB. TRAVEL CHARGE Min. $ 50.00 EMERGENCY SERVICE CHARGE $125 - $250 * 1 room $ 55.00 * 2 rooms and hall $ 99.95 * 3 rooms and hall $149.95 Cost depends on the area cleaned, method of cleaning and condition of the carpet. Think about how dirty your carpet is, when you last had it cleaned, and if you have any spots or stains that need to be removed. It costs a certain amount of money to bring a technician, truck and supplies to every job, no matter what the size. For JCS, that minimum charge is $55.00. IICRC Standards require dry vacuuming, pre-spotting, pretreatment of carpet fibers, hot water extraction cleaning, application of protector, if requested, and grooming of the carpet. Spots such as red stains, rust and printer inks etc … require additional treatment above and beyond basic cleaning. The cost of these services is $5 per square foot. If the stains can be removed over time can tell. This cleaning is priced based on the amount of time and material required. Carpet protector, such as Scotchguard or Teflon, are $.35 per square foot, while steps cost $3.00 each. Complete estimates can be done over the phone and then confirmed by the technician when they arrive. At minimum, your carpet should be professionally cleaned once per year. This is a minimum and you should expect the carpet to need a corrective or restorative cleaning. JCS recommends monthly cleanings for high-traffic areas, and quarterly cleanings for medium-traffic areas. This type of program is a maintenance program which will keep your building looking professional while prolonging the life of the carpet. Keep in mind that carpet cleaning cannot correct or stop wear. Wear is, in fact, the loss of fiber. What method is best? There are several types of carpet cleaning, depending on what your needs are. For pure cleaning ability, Truck-Mounted Hot Water extraction works best. For appearance and lowest cost, bonnet cleaning works best. JCS will work with you to select the best method to suit your needs. JCS adheres to IICRC standards when performing professional, on-location commercial carpet cleaning.

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

You can take multiple approaches to keep animals out of your edible landscape. You can use natural repellents such as mint and cayenne pepper to deter them from your garden. You can also build a fence (or opt for a privet hedge) or keep the most enticing plants in a sectioned-off area. The most efficient method of keeping your four-legged guests at bay is to determine what animal it is and create a customized plan for them.

Yes, it’s possible for bats in your attic to find a way into your living spaces. Until you can properly remove the bats, the best course of action is to keep the attic doors closed and any holes sealed. Evidence suggests bats follow the airflow in your home, so they may try escaping from the attic to other parts of the house.

In most cases, a mother bird will return to a disturbed nest after the disturbance has passed. However, it can be hard for a mother bird to find a relocated nest. So, while it’s false that a mother bird will abandon her nest if it’s been disturbed, it’s not a good idea to relocate a nest with live babies or eggs in it.

Yes, professionals use humane and safe methods. Inform your provider of any specific concerns before treatment.

Both spikes and loose nets can be installed over nest sites to prevent the bird from returning, but nets are not a humane option since birds and other wildlife can get tangled in them.

Spikes are a humane alternative that deter nesting without harming the birds. In small areas, like vents, a very fine mesh net can be installed to prevent the bird from returning. These nets don't generally pose a risk to the birds.
