Burtch tree removal LLC is a new general contracting business that is alvailable to work locally in Anchorage and surrounding areas. We contract out to do land clearing, right of way, containing or downing hazardous trees, and also sell spruce and birtch firewood by the cord. We are located in the city of Anchorage and can prefer to work in projects we can drive to. We will absolutely consider further away towns such as Ketchikan, Sitka, Cordova, etc. We would confided the jobs if they were a large project in order for us to pay for our flight and stay from the main land. We can work in Seward, Homer, Valdez, and all areas in between. Thank you all for keeping us in mind when it comes to work and traveling around this beautiful state.

"Went great. Very responsive and professional"

Northwest design and build offers a variety of services. As a general contractor we can do whatever work is needed. Quality work and customer satisfaction is the most important to us. We are operating in areas of the valley and Anchorage Alaska.

"We chose Northwest Design to work with when we built our new home last summer. Clayton and his team were professional, courteous and very responsive to any requests or design elements we asked for. I cannot say enough about how great it was to work with them. Our house turned out amazing and I’m still so thrilled with every aspect of our home. And one thing of note I really want to emphasize is how incredibly on schedule the build was. The only delays we had were delivery issues which were completely out of everyone’s control. I cannot recommend this design company enough! Don’t hesitate, just hire them. They will get the job done and done right!"

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

A dry lawn is easier to edge than a wet one. When your ground is wet, your blades will likely clump together, making a seemingly even cut while wet, but an uneven disaster when dried. Also, a wet lawn can impact your blade's performance and cause mud to kick up, resulting in a messy finish.

Wood stain is usually dry to the touch within 6 to 8 hours, but you should let each coat sit for 24 hours before applying another coat or applying a protective coat over it. If you applied your stain in high humidity or cold temperatures, you may need to wait up to 48 hours for the stain to dry completely.

Maintaining a composite fence is pretty straightforward, as it doesn’t require staining or repainting. To keep it clean, scrub the fencing with a composite deck cleaner or hot, soapy water. Use a soft-bristle brush for the best results, and avoid using pressure washers or sanders. Plan to clean your fence at least twice a year. Scrubbing the fencing in the fall and spring can help prevent mold and mildew growth.

Stain is meant to be absorbed by the porous wood, allowing some of the natural grain to show through. With that in mind, you don’t want to add more stain than the wood can absorb, as you risk covering up its natural markings. Generally, two coats is the maximum you should do, although very dense hardwoods may only be able to take a single coat.

On most untreated wood fences, there is no need to sand before treating. You typically only need to sand if there’s an old coat of paint or stain on your fence. If you do need to sand off a previous paint or protective coating (like an old stain or sealant), use medium-grit sandpaper.
