On July 1st (2021), Mel and Stephan from Innovative Basement Authority dug a 30'x18" trench by hand to bury our sump pump discharge pipe. They installed a freeze valve, 30' of 5" PVC, and a discharge grate, exactly where we asked to place it. They had to dig right next to the garage foundation, so this was no easy feat. They also made short work of removing a 4'x4' concrete pad for us. The guys were very courteous, punctual, and seriously hard-working. They did an exceptional job, and in just half a day, I was able to check 1 more item off my honey-do list! We are hoping to hire Innovative Basement Authority for some garage floor concrete work in the near future. Thanks IBA! Brian & Terri MacDonal

Dave replaced a sump pump for us. He called ahead to let me know he was on the way. He showed up on time, had the right replacement pump, and did the work quickly. He was personable and his rates were reasonable (as plumbers go).

Sump pump failed after hours(of course) but Weld plumbing got one of their plumbers out within 2 hours (maybe less) to totally replace the sump pump. He was so nice and so efficient and got it done in under an hour. The price was high because it was after hours, but we were told what it would cost before the plumber came out. We agreed to that price, otherwise we would have had a flooded basement

Rob called me the same night. We connected on Tues. the 24th to include all info that I would need to make the correct choice(s)/recommendations for my needs which included a reasonable price. He was able to fit me in Wed. the 25th. The crew was on time. Rob Gardner came and with his crew of Ryan plus 3 others. They did a SUPER job and gave me peace of mind knowing I won't have to worry about wet walls, soaked carpets, etc. when it rains. All were very courteous & professional and endured with patience questions & concerns that I had. Rob told me what to expect during the whole process. Ryan showed me at the end of the job what my part was: plug in unit when the cement settled, baseboard installation, and floor prep for replacing new carpeting. Did I cover all the areas Ryan? Later on in the day Rob called back to make sure I was satisfied. I am - VERY much so! Thank you, Rob, Ryan & crew! Highly recommended; Excellent! I'll be calling Gardner Construction for my future needs. Thanks again! Rae Gust * Lakeville, M

I like many other folks in Minnesota had water in my basement June 2014. I had two bid's and decided to go with Gardner Construction. I felt Gardner Construction was the most knowledgeable due to the fact they install foundations and exterior drain tile as well. They like many other companies cannot keep up with the volume of calls they have received. Jerry came out and provided a bid which I accepted the same day. Work was completed 3 1/2 weeks later. The crew was very professional and arrived on time. They did a great job minimizing the dust from cutting the concrete floor. They installed 82' of interior drain tile and a sump pump. I cannot say enough what a great job they did!!! I would highly recommend them. Also, they corrected a drainage issue on the south side of my house. This involved digging a 6 x 6 x 6 hole and filling it with gravel. They placed a drainage pipe in the middle and covered it with treated plywood and a patio stone. The area was re-sodded as well. The crew covered my lawn and my neighbors lawn with plywood so grass was not damaged by equipment and removal of the cement for interior drain tile. Did a great job cleaning up inside and outside of my house! I would highly recommend this company!!!

Seth was responsive, professional, and punctual. We had another contractor bid for the work, but Seth offered the best (& cheapest) solution to our waterlogged basement. The other contractor wanted to install a sump pump as if we had a concrete foundation, which included digging a trench + gravel in the perimeter of the concrete floor of our basement. However, Seth suggested that was not needed since we had a wood foundation, and there was already rock under our concrete floor. His solution was to dig a hole and use a deep enough basket to reach our already existing gravel. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Seth! We are eternally grateful for all you did and how responsive you were to helping us solve our problem. It's not often in life that you get something better for less, so I count this as a blessing

For 9 years we've had intermittent problems with water in basement, mostly only after heavy rain and/or snow melt. Spring/Summer of 2014 was the last straw. Got several estimates for drain tile/sump system. Gardner's was not the cheapest, but was very much in line with most other bids. The other contractor I was considering was booked out to June of 2015, and we didn't want to wait for the spring thaw. Gardner's was available in early March, so I chose them for the work. Before hand I had to remove a lot of shelving and some carpeting, but Jerry's crew did move the washer, dryer, and wash basin. As agreed, I had to move those back after the new concrete cured. Work was estimated to take a day and a half, but Jerry had extra help available and called out reinforcements. The crew got the entire job done in about 7 hours. As expected there was a certain amount of dust and debris to clean up, but very very little. They did as neat and clean a job as we expected and better. I have waited to write this review until I could determine that the system was working. Since the spring was not unusually wet (like the previous year) I don't think the pump had to run at all until a very heavy rain on July 6. Then I could hear the water draining into the sump basin, and the pump was moving it out. So far the basement has remained bone dry. With the slope on the property we've only ever had water problems at the back side of the basement, hence Jerry and I thought we could get by with a partial drain tile job. If we ever do get seepage in the front half I will definitely have Jerry and his crew back to do the remaining perimeter, and he assures me it will be no problem to tie into the existing system without having to install another basin and pump. Very happy with the work. Jerry explained everything to my satisfaction and his crew was very efficient and friendly. Thanks Jerry, and the same to your crew as well
