Because of his honest approach, we hired him. We felt he gave us the good and bad and how to resolve the bad as well. In the end, the process was fairly smooth, and the few hick-ups we had, for example, the city and their permit process, were well explained to us at the beginning, so we were ready. "Having hosted the HGTV program “My House is Your House”, we’ve worked with and vetted many cabinet builders across San Diego and Southern California. I cannot understate enough how much of a mistake it was to choose Mr Cabinet Care for our kitchen cabinets on an Encinitas project. We are extremely disappointed with our experience with Mr Cabinet Care. We arranged & purchased custom cabinet drawer fronts that were supposed to be high-quality, but they arrived with noticeable gaps. the gaps were problematic for two reasons: 1. for the drawers / doors that closed incorrectly and 2. for being prone to collecting food debris (and unable to clean or remove that debris). When I contacted the company about this clear defect (the food /gap error), they completely dismissed my concerns, blaming “care and maintenance” instead of acknowledging the poor workmanship. Even worse, they provided doctored photos in an attempt to shift the blame, falsely suggesting that residue such as gum or putty had been left on the drawers. Not only was this completely untrue—no such residue existed in any of the photos we originally provided, nor in any additional photos we took. Falsifying evidence to avoid responsibility is not just dishonest; it’s unethical and gives us even greater concern over other claims they’ve made in workmanship or materials. The operations manager even said “The material you selected, White Oak Select, is naturally prone to expansion and contraction due to environmental factors such as heat and humidity. Upon reviewing the photos taken by the technician, it appears that the issues you are experiencing are likely related to care and maintenance, rather than any manufacturing defect.” These were installed weeks prior to our notice, not years later, and during a cool weather season. To claim extreme weather (like heat & humidity) in San diego is laughable and outrageous. Under California law, products like these are covered by warranties ensuring they are fit for their intended purpose. These drawer fronts clearly do not meet that standard, yet the company refused to honor its obligations. Instead of standing behind their product, they chose to manipulate the situation to avoid accountability. Beware if you work with them and have future warranty issues, youre going to likely run into similar defenses and accusations. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with this company. If they are willing to misrepresent facts and dismiss valid concerns, I can only imagine how they handle other customer complaints. We regret this purchase for our client and would never recommend them to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship or honest customer service. We will not be using them for any future HGTV projects nor recommending them to other clients or customers"

"Excellent! I thought I needed a new thermostat since I wasn’t getting any heat. Juan came over , checked the circuit breaker and found that the breaker was worn out. He replaced the breaker and found that the thermostat was still functioning. He could have said that the thermostat needed replacing too but instead he just said you needed a new circuit breaker. I really appreciated the honesty. If he said I needed the thermostat too I would have paid for both thus increasing my bill. I just want to add a few more comments about the work that he’s done for me. I first met Juan when he came over to my house to stabilize a lose tile that was above my garage door. Then I showed him mold growing next to my shower door. He found a small crack that allowed water to seep into the sheet rock. He replaced the shower door and the sheet rock that was growing mold. Then I took him to the bathroom where I showed him a bulging floor board next to the toilet. He found a small crack in the toilet tank that slowly dripped water on to the backside of toilet dripping water onto the base board. He offered to repair the tank but I told him to go ahead and replace the toilet. I can’t say enough about Juan. Whatever the problem is he’ll figure out how to fix it. When he approaches a problem he approaches with a positive attitude. Another time my ceiling fan went out and I asked him to come out to see what the problem was. Instead over the phone he told me to check the remote control. I went on Amazon and ordered a new remote control . I placed in new batteries and the fan started working. He didn’t charge me anything for the advice. I was prepared to buy a new fan and all I needed was a new remote. Juan is multi talented. I’ve recommend him to my neighbor and he’s done a couple of projects for her (leaking roof). Lastly, in a couple of weeks he’s coming over to paint my front door and put a new latch on my side gate. I’m 77 years with an injured leg so fixing things around the house is difficult for me. Juan has made my life easier."
