"I had major storm damage on 7/30/2018. Steve Ortiz, the owner, who I found through Angie's list, came out immediately and helped me tarp my roof until it could be repaired, refusing to take any pay for it. He said it didn't matter who I chose to replace the roof, he just wanted to help me out. (I had told him briefly, about how I, as a 60 year old woman, had gone up after the 68 mph winds died down a little and stapled plastic sheeting and retrieved shingles back onto my roof to stop water coming into my house). He gave me an estimate for roof replacement within a day, without wanting to know what insurance would pay. His was the best estimate and after getting several, and checking references, reviews, license, bonding, insurance, etc., I chose him to replace my roof. He gave me a thorough consultation and answered all questions, including about getting better ventilation for the attic. His crew were professional and kind and personable, and obviously took pride in their workmanship. Steve worked on and supervised the whole job, which was completed in one day! They cleaned up everything and made sure no nails were left in the yard. He let me pick the quality shingles (hi-dimensional architectural) and underlayment for better protection (synthetic) for a little bit extra, and replaced any questionable deck wood on the roof. I have a small house, but it is my biggest investment, and they took such good care of me! My house was now protected which was the most important thing, but it looked really pretty when it was done. My car battery had just died, (we needed to move it a little to get the trailer for the debris close to the roof) and at the end of the day, Steve remembered and asked what I was going to do about my car. I assured him I would get a jump, a new battery, and that I would be just fine! Everybody loves a good "pay it forward story", but some people actually practice it. Really, just the kindest man!!!! I would use these guys again anytime, and I was happy to give their card to the neighbors who also had storm damage and came by and asked for their information while they were working. I gave handshakes and hugs to all when the job was done. I was really, really happy with the results.
