Whirlpool refridge would not make ice. First service call the tech declared I needed a defrost control part. He would order it.. it would take two weeks. He did not check ice maker. He said if I defrosted the fridge and then re-started it that it would make ice because the line was now frosted shut. He charged me $120. I defrosted for 2 days and restarted. Still no ice. Three weeks later I called Dino's. They said part that came in was defective and it would be five more days. When tech arrived two weeks later I told him that despite defrost and restart still no ice. He punched in a code and said I had a bad ice maker. I asked why he hadn't checked that on his previous visit even though it was on the work order he got flustered and said he had an ice maker from another job and would give it to me free as long as I didn't tell anyone. He changed the defrost controller and the ice maker. He charged me another $167. He said it would start making ice in 28 hours. It didn't. I called again a few days later and they sent the tech back. This time he said I needed another part and it would be nearly $400. I asked if i got credit for the unnecessary defroster part and he insisted I had needed that too. In short, according to him, the defroster control, the ice maker and the main control board all went out at once. Had he done the job right the first time and told me that the repairs would be around $800 I would have purchased a new refrigerator rather that investing that much money in a 3 1/2 yr old one. I told him i would find someone else to do the job because i didn't trust him. I contacted Whirlpool about their supposed "certified" technician and they declined to help in any way except to give me another repair service. I checked their reviews and found them to be very poor. I will never buy Whirlpool or use Dino's again. Update as of 5/21/2020: I want to add that the new service tech that i used after giving up on Dino's said the ice maker that Dino's replaced was bad and the Main control board that dinos wanted to replace for around $400 was ok. Had I let Dino's replace that board i would have been out another $400 for that and ultimately another $400 for the ice maker. I will never use Dino's again.

They gave us a few simple tips to try on the phone. They accommodated our timing requests, called Monday and scheduled for Thursday. Matt, the technician called on the morning of as requested to confirm appointment time, he called again when on the way as requested. He was able to quickly figure out the problem and confirmed cost was acceptable to me. He replaced the part that wasn't working and made sure it was working appropriately. We used this company back in 2008 when our Maytag freezer part of our refrigerator stopped working and they provided excellent service then too. We had first called another A listed company here on Angie's list on Saturday, but had trouble actually connecting with them and did not give me confidence, so we went back to Dino's who we had used before and they did not disappoint. Next time we will just call them first. Not sure if another company might have been a little cheaper, but we are definitely satisfied.

To get a better grade from me they could have been a little more communicative. They just were not real responsive. They acted like they were doing me a favor.

This what actually happened.
My brand new Whirlpool washer started acting up in the last couple of weeks (it would get stuck on the rinse cycle). They sent out Steven Romo from Dino's to take a look at it. First, he showed up 20 minutes before the window he set this morning (fine, okay, whatever, but I had just gotten out of the shower, and wasn't expecting him for a while).
He tinkered with my machine for a while, and then called me over to chat. He started to tell me that my machine was getting unbalanced load codes, okay. He then instructed me that I cannot do small loads, to which I let him know, that I do substantial loads as I tend to procrastinate doing my laundry. He said I needed to wash more than a couple of towels at a time, when he said this I pointed to an actual basket of towels waiting to be washed that was piled high! He then told me that I quote "needed to stop interrupting" and to let him finish talking because he was trying to give me information and that "this is his job" and he knows what he's talking about. I'm sorry, but he doesn't come hang out when I do my laundry, and I would find knowing how I actually use the washer to be pertinent information when figuring out what's wrong. I found his comment to be unnecessary and aggressive, and it turned a normal conversation into a really uncomfortable one sided lecture.
But it continues to get better! He then starts to tell me that it "appears" the washer and dryer are on the same circuit as other things in the house. Again, I explain to him, they in fact are not, they are on their own separate breaker, I had just spent a small fortune rewiring my 1930's house, and that the electrician has them on their own circuits. To which Steven says in a condescending manner, that I am wrong, and that they are on the same circuit because they are plugged into the same outlet (mind you the dryer is gas). Didn't know he was an electrician! He also tells me that the washer could have interference from routers or other appliances. My router is on the other side of the house, and again, the washer and dryer are on separate breakers and separate circuits from each other. I even called my electrician to confirm after the tech left.
He then continued to tell me that I was wrong, my electrician was wrong (mind you, my electrician is the owner and founder of one of the largest electric repair and installation companies in the Valley) and I told him okay, I guess I would just have to let Whirlpool send him out again when it continued. He then more or less threatened that they would have to charge me if he came back out, and that I'm wrong and just using the washer incorrectly, and that I need to rewire my (already correct) outlet. Also worth noting my electrician thinks claims like this about the wiring are B.S. but he anticipated it and did put them on separate breakers and circuits from one another at the get go.
His tone the entire time was condescending, and I got the vibe it's because of my s** (female) and age (25). I was not once confrontational, and was only ever trying to explain how I do in fact use the washer, and how the electricity is in fact wired.
My father (attorney) followed up with Whirlpool, and when he relayed what the tech told me to the woman at Whirlpool, she was surprised at the claims. She said it was the first time she had ever heard a tech say the problem was too small of loads, and that the outlet was the issue. She says all she had on her side from the tech was that the security system was interfering with the washer. HE NEVER EVEN MENTIONED THE SECURITY SYSTEM TO ME. He basically didn't listen to anything I told him, accused me of not letting him speak, and then LIED to Whirlpool. The woman at Whirlpool stated they'd be filing their own complaint about this, and they scheduled me a return visit from a different company.
I found the tech to be threatening, condescending, unprofessional, and above all, he was 100% wrong about everything.

Just didn't finish the job properly causing me to have to hire another company. It was more out of pocket expense than necessary.

The service was bad. I thought their price was a little high. They didn't give me anything. That was just the service charge. They didn't find the problem that I was experiencing.

I was facing a possible 2 weeks without my refrigerator as Kitchenaid doesn't make this control board and it has to be shipped somewhere and rebuilt; then shipped back and installed. But Dino has been through this with previous customers and so always has one of these rebuilt boards in his inventory. So no delays for me! His crew was out the next day with the right part and my refrigerator was up and running less than 24hrs after I contacted Dino. They also replaced a fan as they learned from other customers who have had this same problem that the fan was the thing causing the control board to blow. I just love that they had already figured out the problem and how to provide great customer in spite of Kitchenaid.
The workmen called ahead to make sure I was home, were there on time, professional and respectful of my possessions.
Great job Dino and the fellows!!

After Lowe's mistakenly canceled our warranty service appointment, Dino himself got on the phone and shifted things around so his repairman could fit us in the next day, on Saturday. He was here early Saturday morning and fixed both appliances. We were very impressed that this company went out of their way to make us happy due to no fault of their own. We will definitely call them again.

We were really pleased with Dino's Appliance Factory Service. We needed
both our Kenmore dishwasher and refrigerator repaired. John called
before coming out to our house at the beginning of our scheduled time
frame. He assessed the problems and repaired them on the spot. We were
happy with prompt service and very reasonable rates.
We would highly recommend and use Dino's again.

Exceptionally pleased with service provided by Dino's Appliance. Prompt response upon initial phone call to Dino's for estimate. Jake came out to provide service on the dryer. Was professional, courteous and patiently explained the problem with my dryer. Service work was completed swiftly. The dryer worked well through several loads when another loudly irritating noise began. A second phone call to Dino's was placed and Jake returned within 2 days. Upon further inspection he determined another part needed replacing. No charge was made for the second trip or part. The dryer has worked wonderfully since. I will definitely make Dino's my and quot;go toand quot; repair company for any future problems.

He took the time to get on the floor and look, then he pulled the entire machine out from the wall to make sure nothing was behind it. He was able to reinstall it correctly in 15 minutes. He didn't charge me since it's a new machine under warranty. Jake is the only person that has come to my house from Dino's and he's always been helpful, clean and polite. I would recommend this company.

It was great. I messed up the terminal block trying to replace the power cord. Dino's found the correct replacement part and came the next day to fix it. Had the dryer up and running in no time. Service tech was prompt, efficient, polite and professional.

This was the second new machine. First one leaked and 3 different companies responded and couldn't repair. Dino's was the 3rd company and they replaced a part and advised that we call Loews and tell them what was going on as he agreed with us that the machine should be replaced. Since I loved the machine, I requested the same model. The second new machine started leaking in the same place about 6 months after it was installed. Called manufacturer and requested that Dino's come and look at it. Jake came out the next day, which was a saturday and spent about 1 hour checking EVERYTHING over. He made some adjustments and it has worked fine since. Dino's fit us in their busy saturday schedule and I would recommend them to everyone.
