We wanted a passthrough cut through 2 offices, and while technically we had that, it was obvious it was done by someone lacking any craftsmanship. We needed someone to fix it. Noone likes to fix the mistakes of others, but Liam immediately came by to look at what we were dealing with. He was friendly and professional, and pointed out things that I hadn't even noticed. On May 2015 I met with A.J. to talk about the estimate he just made and he was very accurate and to the point. He explained me what materials are going to be use. On June 17, 2015 at around 6:30 am Total Home Roofing show up at the house and start working, I met with Julio Garcia, Production Supervisor and he explained me what was going to happen. During the day he calls me and tell me that everything was ok, and that they where able to finish the job in one day, sure it was, I get home after work and my house had a new roof. They clean very good after they finish. Very professional, I highly recommend this company

This is an income property that I own in the Tuscawilla area of Winter Springs. I am always concerned with researching my products well and do not use the cheapest parts or service but rather look for the best value/quality proposition. After researching shingles, roofing installation, building codes, and obtaining quotes from my top 4 installers, I received quite the education. Each installer had a slightly different take on what Florida building codes required which caused me to look in to it more and ask probing questions. My sales person, Alex, At Total Home Roofing didn't pretend he knew an answer if he didn't and researched my questions quickly verifying the latest FL building code requirements. There was no hard sales pitch and the presentation was thoughtful and well prepared. Alex presented me with a folder showing Angie's List reviews, Proof of Insurance & Liability Coverage, etc. I didn't have to ask for anything. They had already thought of what questions I would have about the company and cleanly presented them with no fuss. There were several weeks of delay before starting but Alex informed me of the general time frame before my commitment. After about 3 weeks, the on site supervisor called me to let me know they were starting and statused with me about the job. They took about 2 days to complete the job. They used 30lb felt vs. 15lb quoted by some other contractors at a higher price. They also used the newest/proper nails for code and correctly assessed roofing installation methods for varying roof slopes. Two sheets of plywood are included in the quote for redecking but they only used one. Some companies did not include wood cost and charge you separately later depending on how much they use. This would be ok if their price had been better but it wasn't. A dumpster was placed in the driveway so you have to make sure no cars are parked there during installation. They did leave behind a sheet of plywood laying flat on the lawn which would kill the grass. I asked them to come back and get it and I believe they did. They also knocked the coaxial cable running from the dish off. I will have to resecure that to the side of the house. They tell you that they will not re-aim a dish so you have to plan on fixing your satellite reception after if needed (this is typical of everyone I interviewed) Payment was not collected until installation was completed. I loved that they accepted credit cards without a surcharge or penalty. I could not see that they baked this in to the price elsewhere either as they were the most competitive and highest quality option. This allowed me to rack up some points! Overall, I would highly recommend Total Home Roofing. Although I didn't use them, I would put Winter Park Roofing as my runner up from the bids. Don't forget to get a new quote on your insurance! Total Home and Winter Park offered an included wind mitigation / roof inspection post installation. You will save money on insurance. If you have an income property, you can also depreciate this asset

This was actually a pleasant experience. I was a single woman about to make a major decision with absolutely no knowledge of roofing. I knew I needed a new roof, and I wanted to have the existing tar and gravel removed and replaced with shingles. A.J. was so patient and did a wonderful job of explaining what would have to be done in order to meet my expectations. Most of the roof could be shingled, but some low-sloped areas required different materials. I understood enough to be confident about the decision because of A.J.'s communication skills (and patience). There were also 11 skylights to be replaced, and A.J. guided me through the process of making those decisions; then he handled all the details involved in purchasing and installing them. A.J. and his crew totally exceeded my expectations. They were there when they said they would be. A.J. was in touch with me regularly from beginning to end. The cleanup was thorough, and they left the place immaculate. I am very pleased with the roof, and I love the new skylights. No leaks either! Both are far superior to what I had previously, and the whole process was actually a wonderful experience! The customer service was exceptional! A.J. and his crew were awesome

We got three quotes for the re-roof. Total Home offered the best price and the best warranty. They also impressed us with a professional presentation that had all the necessary information we needed as a customer. They were able to work around our schedule. They were very punctual, everything went smooth and according to what had been explained to us. They provided photos of pieces of plywood that had to be replaced. I am not often impressed with sales presentations, but the salesman was professional, and informative with out being pushy and came prepared with copies of licenses and +certificate of insurance. Asside from Angies list which I used to pre screen 3 roofing companies, the presentation and preparedness were the 2 main reasons for choosing this company even though they were slightly higher. The job went as expected except for one deck repair I wasn't happy with, that was immediately corrected with out further discussion. I am a hands-on homeowner constantly asking questions and inspecting work done. At no time was I made to feel that I was in the way or asking too many questions all of which were answered immediately. The work crew was professional, prompt, and worked hard to complete the job properly. READ THE NEXT SECTION CAREFULLY, IT IS IMPORTANT IF YOU ARE SHOPPING FOR ROOFERS. The icing on the cake was the wind mitigation inspection. The only fault in the sales presentation was that I don't remember a lot of importance put on this, (although it was circled on the proposal)so I didn't remember it when I was notified after the job completion that there would be an inspection. THIS WAS AN IMPORTANT INSPECTION FOR ME. In my case, it wasn't until 9 months later that I presented the report to my insurance company (even though the inspector reminded me I might save a little money) That inspection after presenting it to my insurance company resulted in an refund of over $500 on my prepaid insurance from last fall (aproximately 25% on a 37 year old house with an already competitive policy), and a reduction in my upcoming insurance of a similar amount. Before the roof wears out, the inspection will have paid for the whole job in less than 14 years on a job guaranteed for 30 years. Is your roofer offering this inspection?

"We recently bought a fifty-year-old fixer upper house that needed many renovations. We hired Matt Ray to update two of the bathrooms, remodel the kitchen and remodel the main living area. Matt and his crew did a wonderful job. As we expected in a fifty-year old house, there were some unknown issues as we remodeled, and Matt helped us address them as they came up. Matt kept us informed and updated on the progress the entire time. We had a master bath remodel on the 2nd floor of our condo that needed a complete gut/redo. The previous owners cut corners and it was just awful. We wanted to move the toilet, reconfigure the shower, the electric,plumbing,tile, remove a closet - a complete gut. We interviewed 3 contractors, 2 said they could not move the toilet which was a big no-go for us. We almost gave up but found Todd Thomas Homes by chance, and they stood out head and shoulders above the other 2 - now they were almost double the price, but you get what you pay for as they say. I know now that the other guys low-balled us b/c there's NO WAY they could do what they proposed for so cheap.
Immediately, from the 1st meeting with Matthew at TTH we were sold. They had every detail layed out from start to finish. Their team (4 guys) showed up (on time, always on time btw) to make sure we were ALL on the same page before we started. Extremely professional and thorough. We were given a timeline and what to do/get for every step of the way. The 1st day of the demo they protected our floor/furniture/etc with high quality materials to not damage the property. Each step, from demo to reconstruction, was handled by a top notch, a professional vendor/artisan/plumber/electrician/painter/etc. All this was led by our amazing project manager Doug, who had our backs every step of the way. He was extremely patient, professional, hard working, and just a great guy. We felt comfortable with him/them in our home, at any time, even when we were out of town.
The end result is absolutely amazing! I can't say enough about how wonderful the process was (I mean for a remodel). Doug made sure we were completely happy before any sign-off. The final step was a visit from the owner, Todd Thomas, for a final view and to make sure we were 100% happy. We have more remodels in mind, and will ONLY use TTH. So if you are considering, or shopping around for a redo, you MUST give these guys a call....they will not disappoint.
