We are a family of elite heating, air conditioning, and plumbing professionals here to provide the Twin Cities community with a pathway to a higher-level service experience that exceeds expectations. Since 2009, we’ve proudly earned our reputation as the most knowledgeable in our industry through our dedication to continuous improvement – and our desire to do more, go futher, and provide greater value to every customer. We are a united TEAM, 100% committed to raising the bar to provide Service A Better Way, Every Step of the Way.

"I have a home warranty on my recently purchased home. The home warranty company contracts with BWS. The tech, Ryan G, came to my house on 6/24/21 to assess the plumbing issues I discovered after I purchased my home. He told me on 6/24 he would be requesting approval from my home warranty company for the repairs/replacements, then they would need to order parts, and once the parts arrived, would be able to schedule the service. It is 7/8/21. I have been trying to find out from my home warranty company about the delay. I was informed today by my home warranty company "regarding your plumbing request, the technician has not submitted a full diagnosis, but he did call in to advise us that this was a flipper house that was purchased as is and there was no inspection done on the home. I have requested the diagnosis from them. I will follow up with you once it is received." This comes as a HUGE surprise to me as I purchased the home for myself, for me to live in. The housing market is tough right now and many buyers are bypassing inspections so their offers don't get passed-over by sellers. It is definitely a fixer-upper since it was a cat and hoarder house that had been neglected for over 5 years by the previous owner. Someone prior to that owner had done quite a few DIY projects. The house has good bones and needs cosmetic work (flooring, walls, trim). I previously owned and lived in a 110 year old house for over a decade and did many of the renovations myself. I have YEARS of plans to make my new house and yard exactly what I want and need. After the purchase of my house, I had ripped out all of the cat-hair-and-grime-covered flooring, window trim, baseboards, and window treatments. And then I broke my arm. Now most of the projects I had planned are on hold as I cannot use my left arm for anything for at least a few more months. In the meantime, for my home to be ready for me to move in, I need some plumbing issues fixed that I discovered after the purchase of my home. Hence the request for repair through my home warranty that was sent to BWS. While the tech was at my house, I was displeased with his attitude and the way he spoke with me. He treated me as though I were unintelligent, didn't know what I was asking about with my house, didn't know what my home warranty contract covers, and was very dismissive. BWS has not performed any service. They have not followed through with making the request for approval of repair/replacement through my home warranty company. The BWS tech instead took it upon himself to go out of his way to call the home warranty company make false statements to them about me, my house, and my property. I sure hope this is not the type of customer service BWS does for everyone. But then maybe he treated me this way because I am female and have a broken arm."

My company is built on honesty and integrity. I am dedicated to providing our clients with the very best in installation, service, and repair for your heating and cooling needs.

"This is a scam. he was given $2,400 down and somehow that didn’t cover the cost of the unit so he needed an additional $750 which says he doesn’t know how to manage his money. He was given the money. Told me he would be there at 8:30am on Friday and never showed up, didn’t call or text. He still hasn’t responded to any of my texts. He will take your money and not show up. Going to dispute the charges with the bank and take him to court and notify all the websites he is on so others don’t get scammed"

I am a Ph.D level graduate in Physics as my major and Computer Science and Mathematics Minors providing 1-on-1 and 1-to-Many tutoring and test preparation services online, in your home, local library, or coffee shop from Pre-k( I teach my 4 year old) all the way to Graduate level in STEM related courses. What differentiates me from the rest is that first of all, I love teaching, second, I have the experience (I have thought all my life from High school to Graduate school as a student and Teaching Assistant), thirdly, I take pleasure is seeing someone grow in general knowledge and in particular their STEM related abilities. Finally I am very patient and value empathy. I believe my true purpose in life is to teach, although I keep trying to do other things else. In my opinion, if you are not growing and self-developing in knowledge in anything you are doing, please STOP and do something else. So it is with my tutoring. I will stop teaching and refund your full money if I feel you are not making any progress of aren't comfortable. Like I said, I take pleasure in tutoring and your progress, not you money!. I want to be happy doing what I do!! FYI I could be somewhere else teaching as a Professor in the University. For now, I am alone, as I do this part time but I would convince my spouse to join me as she also loves teaching( she is a Graduate in Mathematics and Statistics). I will also recruit more people I believe can do the job with passion and excellence. This is how I work, parents, grandparents, guardian or student call or email and after discussion using facetime, skype or google hangout to understand the student's situation, I accept or refuse the tutoring. If you like my services after the discussion, we go ahead, I accept your payment, and we make a schedule for either online or physical tutoring. If you aren't comfortable with the process after a week, I refund your money in full. I tutor students preparing for major exams like SAT, etc.

Energy Efficiency Auditing questions, answered by experts

The effect a gas fireplace has on your gas bill will depend on how often you use it, the size of the rooms you’re heating with it, and the BTUs of the fireplace itself, but generally speaking, it should only cost a few cents an hour to run it when it’s on. It will consume minimal energy when it’s “off” if you have a pilot light running constantly, but some modern gas fireplaces don’t require a constant pilot light.

As you look for the right soundproofing drywall for you, you’ll likely come across the Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating. This rating measures a building material’s ability to absorb sound. The higher the number, the better the material absorbs rather than reflects sound, reducing noise transmission. The STC rating for drywall doesn’t mean it’s for the panel itself—it refers to the STC rating for the entire wall system, including the soundproofing drywall.

While parts of the appraisal are out of your control, there are some things you can do to potentially raise the home’s value. You can make necessary repairs and upgrades before the appraiser visits—an appraiser can only value what is currently part of the home, not its potential. You can also provide the appraiser with the cost of recent upgrades. The appraiser will likely increase the value of your home by about 50% or more of what you paid for those improvements.

Solar water heating systems are not one-size-fits-all. You'll likely work with a team of experts to get the job done—including solar panel installers, plumbers, and water heater installers. A specialist will help you decide if a passive or active system is best for your local weather, home layout, roof stability, and your budget.

While installing your new furnace, you should consider hiring a pro to perform a home energy audit . This audit will give you a handy list of any projects you could undertake to improve your home's overall energy efficiency rating, including replacing or sealing windows and insulating the attic. These improvements can help save you money each month in utility costs.
