- Anthony & Sylvan PoolsI have purchased 2 pools from A&S. The first experience was so good that when we moved, bought another one. Unfortunately the 2nd pool has been less than good. The pool is now 10 years old, needed multiple repairs per year. I'm not thrilled about having to go through the repair process every year, but I have to say the customer service department has been amazing, in particular Alicia Balderston. The first year after installation I called many MANY people to help me with the problems, all the way up to Stu Neidus (former CEO), not one person returned my call.....seriously, NOT ONE RETURNED CALL!!!! Then Alicia called me, and ever since then she's been handling every issue that's come up. She answers the phone when I call, or gets back to me within minutes. She handles all the issues promptly, explains the process, and follows thru, a true professional. As I said before, the repairs are a hassle, but true to their word the repairs are being made every year, at no extra cost to me. I truly appreciate Alicia's time and effort in repairing our pool!

Then, after we made our choice and signed, the process started quickly. They had numerous people follow up with us repeatedly to make sure we were satisfied, answered questions, and despite a messy 2020 with Covid, we were able to get our pool installed on the schedule they estimated from the start. The finished product is gorgeous. The equipment is easy to understand and use. We are still getting follow up calls to check in 3 months after completion! The service department has been prompt. The pictures are after completion, we didn’t have the decking complete yet though. Jarod, Jim, Gary were the guys we dealt with the most and I can’t say enough about how helpful they all were

I initially filed a claim through my home warranty company, who took a full week to tell me that they could not find a provider in my area, but I was welcome to give it a try. After a week with no filter, my pool was more of a swamp (and just in time for the long weekend I had planned). Anthony & Sylvan was the highest rated provider on Angie's List. When I first saw their website, I was hesitant to call because they apparently install VERY nice pools, and I was not sure that they would service mine (in-ground with a liner). In fact, I first sent an email to another provider that had previously serviced our pool. When that provider did not respond by the next day, I emailed Anthony & Sylvan through Angie's List. Someone sent me an email within the hour saying that yes, they could help me, and that they would call me shortly. The woman who scheduled the appointment was extremely knowledgeable, and very polite, even though it was probably clear to her that I know nothing about pool filters besides "it's not working." She even took my husband's information and called him separately, so that he could provide more detail about the problem. We were told that a technician would arrive the next morning. Our technician, Don, arrived around 8:30 AM. He was very professional and courteous, and easy to talk to-- I had not realized that the water in the pool had evaporated a bit, so he had to wait for it to fill in order to fix the problem. While I felt bad about it, Don was completely polite and waited so that he could test the filter. It turns out that we only needed a new gasket, so it wasn't a major repair, but based on this interaction, Anthony & Sylvan will be the first pool service company that I call in the future, and I absolutely recommend them

"If you need it done, and done right, Michael and his team are the people you want working on your house! I contacted Michael about some water we were getting in our basement and needed another bid because I never go with just one bid when I am spending this kind of money. Michael not only gave me an estimate but spent 2 hours educating me on how this works and why it works the way it does. The price was higher than the others but the quality shows it. His team is not a bunch of sub contractors that don't care, they are all his employees and the guys take pride in their work. There were no surprises either, and he told me up front the cost and the time and actually finished earlier than the time estimated, they even did the little details like putting in air fresheners to get the basement to smell nice. I am extremely particular especially when this amount of money is spent and I would hire Michael and his team again in a heartbeat! "Our biggest problem was with the zoning. Hank helped us with pool design and property measurements early on to make sure we had our pool in the ground on time. Due to circumstances beyond all of our control, the pool was recently completed. It was worth the wait!
<br /> Once the zoning was taken care of and the building took place, it didn't take long to complete the pool...two weeks. We used a different system than chlorine or salt ( Caribean Clear ionization) and Hank very willingly helped us set up that system.
<br /> Hank took the time to patiently answer many questions. He gave us his honest opinion about what he thought should be done. His son, Matt, is wonderful as well, clearly explaining how to use the equipment.
