Juan came out today to provide my annual A/C inspection. He was exceedingly professional and helpful - providing tips and suggestions on how to maintain my system and even walking me through the steps. I am rather curious and tend to ask lots of questions regarding what/why the technicians are doing things and he thoughtfully answered all of my questions without a hint of irritation. He made reasonable recommendations based on the conditions of my unit rather than trying to sell me services - which I greatly appreciated. Excellent experience! Regarding F.H. Furr - they have provided consistently knowledgable and personable technicians. The only frustration i've had with the company is their inability to provide a specific window for service - my suggestion is to request the first call of the day as they can give you an expected start time for the technicians, thereby providing a window.

Overall, good service. I expected the technician to provided more details about the condition of my heat pump; Freon levels, did he clean the coils, air pressure of the unit, but he did not. Also, the technician did not provide a clean air filter, he asked if I had a new filter and installed the one I provided. I did expect the system check to include an air filter but apparently it did not. The company followed up with a service contract, frig magnet with the date marked for my next service call, and copy of the units serial numbers, make, and model information, all were mailed to me the day after.

The technician called 30 minutes prior to arrival as I requested. He arrived on time. He inspected the damaged bib and suggested replacing only the damaged part rather than the whole faucet. But he needs to come back another day with the needed part. Since I purchased the Big Deal for frost-free bib, I just had the whole thing replaced. It was done within 30 minutes or so. The technician was courteous and professional. The B for responsiveness resulted from the fact that the firm did not send me any confirmation after I purchased the Big Deal as other firm would do. And after I called to make an appointment, I had to remind them a couple days later. But I'll definitely use them again.

The outdoor unit of our heat pump/AC system had been making a really loud rattling noise whenever the AC came on. It didn't make the noise when just the fan was on, and we couldn't tell if the fan was hitting anything inside the case. The technician arrived on time and was very friendly and easygoing. He examined the outdoor unit thoroughly, testing several different theories for the problem. As new homeowners, we felt he had a good understanding of our situation when he suggested starting with a low cost fix first (replacing just the fan), and holding off on a more costly repair (replacing the motor) only if needed. He also checked our indoor unit, provided basic maintenance suggestions, answered all of our questions honestly, and did not try to upsell us on additional services. He did leave information on the company's maintenance plan with us, but did not waste anyone's time telling us all about it right there, which may have resulted in a higher diagnostic visit fee. It may go against conventional business practices, but we really appreciated his straightforwardness and thought his manner reflected well on the company. Ultimately, my father brought his own technician to fix the problem, but if he hadn't, we likely would have hired Home Air Services. We would call them for repair work again.

I was referred to AllCity HVAC by a neighbor. When I called, the technician was very professional and I was able to schedule an appointment right away. When he arrived, he was able to quickly diagnose my system--unlike the previous company that came out. He was upfront about the cost of replacement and even gave me a discount on the service. I was also able to pay via credit card--so that was a plus! My system is working fine now and we haven't had a problem since.

F H Furr technician was able to quickly diagnose the issue and replace the parts that were not working correctly in a timely manner. The technician was very knowledge and did a great job sticking to CDC recommendations regarding social distancing and wearing a face covering. Really smooth, pleasant experience. I called at 8am to report that my furnace was not working. Jonathan scheduled a window for me between 11am and 1pm. Another rep called me at 1015 to say the technician was on his way, and the technician (Joey) arrived at 1045am. Joey was super friendly and very professional. He quickly inspected the system and told me I needed a new thermostat, giving me the option to do it myself, or to schedule another service call. While he was here, he looked at a couple of other things, in a very reassuring way. Much better than other contractors I've had where they're always trying to convince you something is wrong. This was my first experience with Sila, but they now have my business for any HVAC work, large or small.

Chris was the technician that completed the service check. We are on a contract with Presidential. Chris recommended that the condenser coil be cleaned since it was dirty and that could be the reason temperatures were running high. I told him to do the cleaning. When he rechecked the temps after the cleaning they were better.

It was 2:00 P.M. on the Friday before the Memorial Day weekend, and it was also the first really hot day of the season. The outside unit on my central air died, and I was certain that I would be spending a miserable weekend in a hot house. I called SSI and they had a technician nearby who was just finishing up, so they dispatched him. The time between the call and the arrival of the technician was about 40 minutes. The technician took the access panel off the outside unit and says "Here's the problem. This capacitor is bad." Time from arrival to diagnosing the problem: 2 minutes. He replaced the capacitor, and I now have wonderful cool air again.Excellent service!

I purchased an Angie’s List Big Deal for $59 to have my furnace inspected. The service technician came to my home within the scheduled time frame. He wore a mask and put on shoe covers before he began working. The technician checked the temperature supply and return; sequence of operation; and the capacitor for the blower motor. He used a meter to determine my existing capacitor was out of the rate 3.2 uf. The technician replaced the capacitor (cost of less than $10 on Amazon.com) with a new 10 uf capacitator and verified the rate of 10 uf my using his meter. The service technician advised me to change the furnace filter every 3 months rather than every 6 months. I was charged $75 for the new capacitor and labor. The invoice does not show how the $75 is broken down between material and labor. My total bill was $134.00. Overall, the technician appeared be competent and personable.

Performed maintenance noted issue with bearings on one unit and explained how it and why it occurred. Received receipt and quote within minutes of technician leaving.
