The driveway looked nice at first, but within a couple of weeks and after heavy rain, cars and even people?s feet began sinking into the gravel along, the gravel pushing out the retaining wall, sinking altogether, and ruts everywhere due to the gravel not being compacted. I immediately made Alex aware of the issue, and he said he?d come fix it. He never communicated a specific day, and when he finally said he was planning to come, I let him know I had a renter that day. After additional follow ups from me, he sent a quote for nearly $1,000 more to ?fix? the driveway by rolling and compacting it, which is the exact work that should have been done the first time. I had already paid several thousand dollars for a fresh driveway, so being asked to pay extra just to have the job done correctly was surprising and frustrating. I asked if we could meet in the middle on the added cost, and never heard back."

The size of your patio is a significant factor in the project’s overall cost. If you're building a smaller patio of only 60 square feet, your costs will be closer to $480 to $1,500. If you want a more luxurious 900-square-foot patio, you'll spend closer to $7,200 to $22,500.
