"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me.  Overall, they're good designs.  However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning.  I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging.
Jill was very responsive when I did have a question.  I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done.  If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs.

"We couldn?t be happier with the incredible job L&M Construction did on our new deck and three-season room! From start to finish, their team was professional, detail-oriented, and a true pleasure to work with. The craftsmanship is outstanding ? every detail was handled with care, and the finished product exceeded our expectations. The deck is solid and beautifully constructed, and the three-season room has already become our favorite spot in the house. It?s clear they take great pride in their work. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. They kept us informed, stayed on schedule, and were always happy to answer any questions we had. They also kept the worksite clean and respected our property every step of the way. If you?re considering any kind of home improvement project, especially one as important as a deck or three-season room, we highly recommend L&M Construction. Their work speaks for itself ? and we?re absolutely thrilled with the results! Thanks again L&M!"

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

A peeling bathtub is not a good thing. It’s a sign that the finish is coming off, and continued exposure to water and cleaning products can continue to damage the finish and eventually the underlying structure of the tub. What starts as a few chips or flakes can worsen into large chunks peeling off.

You can put a structure under your bathtub for support. Many modern tubs come with a built-in support structure underneath. Almost any type of mortar or floor-leveling compound is acceptable for new bathtubs that don’t include a support structure.

You can also install spray foam under an existing bathtub to eliminate or reduce squeaking or sagging. However, spray foam isn’t rigid enough for primary tub support.

There are a few things you can do to keep your bathroom remodel as affordable as possible in your mobile home:

  • Ask your contractor to replace caulk and grout rather than retiling

  • Ask your professional to refinish your tub/shower rather than replacing

  • Upgrade your sink fixtures rather than replacing the sink

  • Upgrade cabinet hardware and ask your remodeler to refinish the cabinets

  • Avoid changing the layout of your bathroom

The reasons not to install flooring underneath a bathtub outweigh the benefits. A properly installed bathtub will keep water from reaching the unprotected subfloor underneath. Installing a tub on top of finished flooring can lead to damage and scratches to the new floor. Also, a small leak from a tub drain may be more difficult to notice if finished flooring impedes water drips.

If you love long soaks, appreciate spa-style decor, and don't mind the extra space, a Roman tub is a beautiful addition to your bathroom.
