"The electrician showed up at the scheduled time. He got to work immediately. He started work at the lamp that was on the metal pole in the front yard. He found that there was juice still coming through the wires to that lamp. This light hadn't worked in over 25 years - I had thought there was a break in the wiring going from the metal pole to the house. But after the electrician checked the wiring, he determined the problem had been in the lamp all along. He quickly removed the old, non working lamp and quickly replaced it with the new one. He then moved on to the lamp at the font door. He quickly removed the old lamp and worked on putting up the new lamp. He had some minor problems with putting up the new lamp, but he did get in done and the entire job took only about 30 minutes. I not only would recommend this company, but would use them again. "

A door frame is not the same as a door casing. A door frame is the framework surrounding the entire door that supports the area from which the door hangs. The frame is made up of multiple parts, including the door jamb, head, and sill.
Casing refers to the trim work located around the door frame. It connects the door frame to the wall with decorative trim.
The vast majority of hinges are symmetrical, and either side of the hinge can go on the door or the frame. Occasionally, you'll find a hinge specifically made for right or left-handed doors with different attachment hardware or larger plates on one side. In most cases, the large side of the hinge goes on the frame.
It is possible to install hinges backward, so be careful when placing them. Position the hinge so that the hinge pin faces the direction the door will swing. For example, if you're standing on the side the door will open into, the pin should be visible. Be extra careful when installing exterior doors, as placing the hinges on the outside for an outward-facing door makes your home much easier to break into.
While applying a small amount of olive oil to a door hinge may not cause problems, regularly using olive oil or vegetable oil can cause door hinges to become sticky and gummed up over time. Additionally, residue from food-grade products can actually turn rancid.
You can convert a pre-hung door into a Dutch door, but it’s more of a pain. Pre-hung doors are already set in the frame with the hinges and everything aligned, so once you cut the slab in half, you’ll likely need to adjust the hinge placement and maybe even mess with the frame itself. It’s doable, but expect some trial and error because it’s not a straight-swap situation.
