"We heard of all service moving from a family members’ recommendation. Move went very smoothly! Nathaniel, SeaBass and Dominic really took care of our furniture, everything was neatly wrapped up so nothing would get damaged. Would hire again!"

"Nationwide made my moving experience easy. This is my third time moving cross country. The other two times prior were a disaster. Nationwide Moving really came through. Handle my belongings with care. Very polite crew and stood by their estimate and did not increase my move. I highly recommend."

"Mark was very helpful getting our last minute delivery to a customer set up. On moving day, it was a happy surprise when some of movers had moved me before. I have referred my friends and colleagues to use this company and all have said that they were satisfied with the price and service. Keep up the great work!"

"How did it go? It went terrific! Three men showed up, backed up to my side entrance, and the ramp went half way up my stairs. Genius! The guys were the nicest individuals you could possibly meet. They were professional. They took very good care of my belongings. They were fun and kept things light in a stressful situation. They made my move 100% easier, and it was worth every penny! They even took some things to the Goodwill for me and, anyone who moves knows, there are A million things to do that involve lots of trips to different places and the fact that they did that for me saved me one other trip somewhere. They were efficient, they knew exactly what they were doing, and I would highly highly recommend their services. They take all forms of payment. Mike even sent me an invoice, so I knew exactly what to expect. I do recommend to Mike that he be upfront about every charge.( ie ride time, any credit card fees.). Just so there’s no surprises because Customers need to budget accordingly. (But knowing Mike, I know that would be no problem for him. He is very accommodating and very easy to work with.) If you were looking for a moving company, consider calling Mike The Mover. I’m very particular about who I hire to do any work and they checked all the boxes! Thank you again to Mike, Bayou, and BD for all your hard work. I truly truly appreciated you guys. God bless!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

Yes, you need insurance for a moving pod. Moving insurance is worth the cost because it can help pay to replace any damaged or destroyed items during the move. Without insurance, you’d be on the hook to pay for those replacements entirely out of pocket.

The level of difficulty for this type of move depends on the size of the safe. However, even a small gun safe can weigh several hundred pounds. Since gun safes are large and bulky, they are typically difficult to move and transport unless you have the right equipment and plenty of professional help.

On average, it may take around three to five hours to complete the process of moving a hot tub, from disconnecting and draining it to actually moving it. The time required for hot tub moving depends on various factors, including the tub's size, accessibility, and distance to the new location.

Products that are hazardous, such as aerosol sprays, top the list of what to leave behind during a move. Avoid packing perishables, garden and garage chemicals, pool supplies, compressed gases, and combustible items. If you are trying to move by yourself, you may want to downsize so you have fewer belongings to pack and move (and then unpack).

Start by removing any obstacles in the moving path, such as side tables, lamps, or other furniture. If your couch has legs, unscrew them. Measure the couch and the stairway to ensure you have enough room; if it seems unlikely, examine the shape and size of the couch and decide whether it might fit better up the stairway and through doorways on its side, held diagonally, or moved in an upright position.

Consider putting the sofa on a dolly to go up the stairs. It should be able to fit upright on a standard dolly with wheels. You’ll still need to lift the dolly—with the couch on it—up the stairs, but it will reduce the physical strain. The person holding the dolly should pull the couch up, while the helper should be on the other side, keeping the couch secure and steady.

If you don’t have a dolly, the person in front should lift the couch slightly higher than the person in the back to create more stability. The person in the back should also be the stronger mover, as most of the weight will be distributed there.
