"Honest fair family man, highly recommended. The local electric Company in New Martinsville was price gouging. He traveled back into the mountains and got the job done for a fair price, with great communication skills. He will get all future work needed."

"John has worked extensively in the electrical field, He is very mannerly and meets the scheduled time consistently. I will contract him again to do some more electrical work in the near future. I recommend John to anyone who needs a trusted electrician. You can tell that he loves his work and that he takes pride in everything he accomplishes."

"The contractors did everything we agreed on to our satisfaction. Both workers were very cordial and professional. As far as we are concerned, they will be the electric company we call from now on. I highly recommend them."

"Well, the system is great! It took a while to get the system installed due to paper work for grant and bank loan. Finally got system up and running on 10/5/16.  The system provides complete energy for our house and business. And we don't have to pay the electric company, in fact they will be paying us for any overflow production.

If your are interested is installing, you better hurry because the demand is increasing dramatically and the waiting time for installation will take a while.

Brian Brown from Renewable Engineered Systems is our provider. Very easy to work with and they are a local company with a very professional attitude.  His contact phone number is 276-226-0228"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Amps describe the amount of energy that can flow through a circuit breaker. Every electrical device that’s attached to the breaker requires about 1.5 amps. While that equates to roughly 13 receptacles per 20 amps, using slightly fewer ensures that your circuit will always have enough energy for sudden power surges instead of tripping when one occurs. In general, 10 to 12 receptacles is recommended for a 20 amp circuit.

You don’t need to be an electrician to change a light bulb. You also don’t have to be an electrician to replace a light fixture with another compatible one. But, if you are installing a light fixture for the first time, it’s worth hiring a licensed professional for the job.

While a handyperson may charge a bit less, a qualified professional can make sure everything is up to code and working exactly as it should be. This is especially true for more complicated lighting projects.

There are several indicators that a single-pole switch is bad: the switch is warm or hot to the touch, sparks are sometimes present when turning the switch on or off, you hear a buzzing sound or other weird noise coming from the switch, the connected light flickers when you turn on the switch, and the light doesn't turn on at all with the switch. If you notice any of these, replace the switch or call a pro straight away.

In most cases, line wires are located at the bottom of a panel or device, while load wires are located at the top. Line wires are generally black, while load wires are typically red or black. To tell for sure, you can use a multimeter or volt pen to test the wire. A live or line wire will always carry a charge, while a load wire will only carry a charge when it’s in use.

They’ll use more electricity than the average upright vacuum, but not remarkably more. Most power units plug into a standard 120-volt outlet and don’t have significant power demands. You shouldn’t notice an increase in electricity bills. If you have any specific questions about energy costs, ask your installer as you examine purchase decisions. Larger power units will need more electricity for their suction levels.
