"Getting the flooring installed properly has been a battle. Although our handyman had illness off and on, needed corrections in the vinyl tile installation were not completed. We are still awaiting replacement of baseboard pieces and a vinyl/carpet interface strip. The company KB has the housecleaning and handman components. I don't want to deride the housekeeping part as she seems very good and has positive feed back, but I would not want to haVe people believing, as unfortunately did, they are of the same caliber."

He showed up for measuring the next day, sent a quote within 48 hours and went over ordering of materials step-by-step. He also updated me frequently on shipment of materials and the timeline for work to be completed. (When Lowe's shipped the wrong fasteners and turnbuckles for the cable railing, Shannon caught the mistake right off by keeping close tabs on the inventory. ). Like glass tiles, you will not need to seal most porcelain tiles, particularly if the porcelain is already glazed. It depends on quality. Porcelain is very water resistant, but it is not 100% waterproof. To avoid staining, some homeowners use a penetrating sealer. It is also a good idea to seal your grout. Unless you use epoxy grout, grout is very porous and can harbor bacteria, mold, and mildew.
