"It went well. Mario came out promptly to access the damage to my basement and gave me an estimate that was within my budget. The work was scheduled and completed within a week. The guys Antonio and Daniel repaired drywall, baseboards, shoe molding and replaced the vinyl flooring in the bathroom. They also painted two large walls. The guys did an excellent job matching the stain on the shoe molding. And I just love the bathroom floor...what a great job. The job was scheduled to be finished in one day but they had a problem finding the shoe molding that matched. They were back the day and all is well. What a great job guys. "Found Machen Brothers on Angie's list.  Called and Jodie Machen came over that afternoon to look at the job and give an estimate.  I had a gently sloping rood over porch that had previously been covered with heated rubber roofing.  The current roof had deteriorated and was beginning to leak.  Another contractr had told me it wasn't pitched enough - Jodie assured me it was and that he could do the job for far less than had been quoted to me.  He contacted my Home Warranty provider, gave them an estimate and all the details, and promised he would be back in touch as soon as weather was good enough to do the work.
Jodie and helper showed up and completed the work in 2 days time.  They matched the shingles with my original roof, flashed the roof with the house siding, gently removed the gutters, then replaced them when complete.  Work was exactly what was estimated, and completed in a timely manner.   I am very satisfied and will use him again!

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
