"I had a bad computer board in my oven. they said they would not cover it because they found a roach. This is Florida we have some roaches. i do not have a bug problem. It has nothing to do with a bad computer board. This company looks for a way to deny claims. i had one other claim and they tried to deny it as well. Save yourself some agravation and stay away. They must post their own positive reviews. They took my $65.00 fee and did nothing"

Newer paint cans often come with an “easy pour” spout with a twist lid. These can be tricky to open, but the key is to grip the spout cover with your fingers and twist it counter-clockwise. There should be a raised ridge in the middle to make it easy to grab. For more standard twist lids, you can try prying the lid off by turning it with your hands, as you would a jar, or running it under warm water.

No, painting shower tile doesn’t last and is better reserved as a temporary solution to refreshing the look of old tiles. Shower tile paint may last around one to five years, depending on how well you prep the surface before painting, the type of paint you use, the type of tile in your shower, and how often you use the shower.

You can test to see if your mist coat has worked by using masking tape after the drying period. Apply masking tape to an inconspicuous area of the wall after the mist coat has had at least 24 hours to dry. Then, peel off the tape. It should come up clear, with no paint residue. If it does have paint residue, you may need to remove the mist coat and try coating the plaster again with a different ratio of paint and water.

Metal is finicky, particularly when exposed to the elements. In other words, you should always prime your metal garage door before laying down paint. Primer not only helps the paint stick to the metal, but it also prevents rust from bleeding through. If you already have some rust and want to avoid it peeking out, cover the spots with a zinc chromate primer. 

Although plastic-sealed paint cans can look tricky, you can open them with adjustable pliers in no time. Grip the plastic seal with the pliers and pull the seal up, moving around the seal until you’ve pried the plastic up in enough spots. Then, you can grab the seal and pop it off the top of the paint can. Depending on the strength of the seal, you may even be able to remove the seal with just your hands by pulling upwards.
