"We had an excellent experience with Windy City Rooter. Max (the owner) and his son came to my house to diagnose the problem and give a free estimate. Unlike with other "big name" companies, I felt comfortable with their diagnosis. Although the diagnosis was not good (we had a blocked overhead sewer with a leak in our basement), Max was huge help in making the ordeal as painless as possible. He explained the entire process of replacing our sewer, including city construction codes, digging, replacing pipe, sealing walls, and clean up. Windy City Rooter does all their own work, they don't contract out anyone else (one of Max's sons is in charge of the excavating). Therefore they know everything that is going to get done, how much it will cost, and how long it will take. They dug up the sewer, replaced it, sealed our walls, and cleaned up all in one day as I was at work. Max was phone call or text away, keeping me updated on the entire process. In addition he also helped by talking directly to our insurance adjuster to ensure we could get some money for the damages.
